You were here among us, you stayed, ran, came back, and when you said you would be back, and you promised to help - not just your church but the community - you did it.

After the devastating earthquake in Vanuatu last December, The Salvation Army walked alongside impacted communities. We partnered with local leaders, ADRA, UNICEF and key government agencies and listened to what was needed most, and helped with clean water, food, and psychological first aid, for those hit hardest.
Here's what you helped make possible:
18,464 individuals supported
110,000L of clean water available
10 water tanks installed at health aid posts and primary schools
4,600+ school children now have access to safe drinking water
104 people with disabilities included in the response

Every Wednesday we have Recovery Church which starts with a dinner and then a time of worship and sharing.
Tonight Maureen shared her story and the difference that God and the 'family' at Recovery Church had made in her life. Her husband Brian also spoke of his love for his wife, and how their faith and friendships within the Church had been such a support to them especially during their time of illness.
During the Bible talk Major Beth reminded everyone that we are not alone and everyone participated in a beautiful interactive prayer time.
