The countdown is officially on! In just three days, we’ll come together to celebrate the Lions Club of Redland City’s incredible 60-year legacy of service, friendship and community spirit.

We cannot wait to welcome our members, guests and community supporters for a very special evening honouring the people, projects and memories that have shaped our Club since 1966.

❤️💙 60 Years. Countless Moments. One Community. 🦁

This Saturday, we celebrate an incredible milestone, 60 years of the Lions Club of Redland City.

To everyone who has booked their place, thank you. We can’t wait to celebrate this special occasion with you and reflect on six decades of service, friendship and community spirit.

These two photos are just a small glimpse into what Lions is all about. A few volunteers, one fundraiser, one day. Yet behind them are hundreds of volunteers (not only Lions but from other amazing organisations), thousands of hours of service, countless community projects, and generations of people who have stepped up whenever our community needed them.

On Saturday, you’ll hear stories from across our 60-year journey, from where it all began to the projects that continue to make a difference today. It’s a celebration not just of our Club, but of every member, volunteer, supporter and community partner who has helped shape our legacy.

Here’s to celebrating the past, honouring the present, and looking forward to the next chapter.

🎶 Another exciting announcement for our 60th Anniversary Celebration!

With almost 60 guests already confirmed, we're proud to welcome the Redlands Sporting Club Pipe Band, who will be performing during the evening and helping us celebrate this important milestone in true community spirit.

For 60 years, the Lions Club of Redland City has been about bringing people together, supporting local organisations, and creating opportunities to showcase the incredible talent that exists right here in our community.

As we celebrate our Club's history, we'll also be celebrating the people, groups and organisations that continue to make the Redlands such a vibrant place to live, work and volunteer.
We can't wait to hear them perform and share this memorable evening with everyone attending.

🎉 60 Years of Service. 60 Years of Stories. 🎉

As we count down to our 60th Anniversary Changeover Dinner, our Communications Chair, Matthew De Castro, recently had the privilege of visiting the Redland Museum archives to explore some of the rich history of Lions in the Redlands.

From historic photographs and memorabilia to decades of community service, it was incredible to see not only the story of the Lions Club of Redland City, but also the history of our neighbouring clubs, including Capalaba and Victoria Point–Redland Bay.

Seeing these archives was a powerful reminder of the thousands of volunteer hours, projects, friendships and community achievements that have shaped Lions across our region over the past six decades.

We’re excited to share some of this history with you on the night, including a commemorative anniversary magazine, historical photographs and stories celebrating our Club’s journey and the people who made it possible.

We can’t wait to come together to honour our past, celebrate our present and look ahead to the future.

We are pleased to welcome Cindy Corrie, CEO of Champion Redlands Coast, as an additional guest speaker at our 60th Anniversary Changeover Dinner.

Cindy is a strategic communications, advocacy and community leader with experience spanning government, the not-for-profit sector and industry. She is known for bringing people together around a shared vision and creating meaningful outcomes for communities.

As founder of The Sycamore School and now CEO of Champion Redlands Coast, Cindy is passionate about inclusion, opportunity and building a strong future for the Redlands through collaboration and partnerships.

We look forward to hearing Cindy’s insights as we celebrate 60 years of Lions service to our community.
