Yesterday we welcomed Tony Brennan, who gladly gave up his time to give pointers and tips to some of us who are trialling or going to trial. Thank you Tony. You spent so much time with each person. We truly appreciated it.

On Sunday 21st June, we will be holding our annual obedience trail. On that day there will be no training. BUT..

We will be looking for volunteers for the following:

1. Baking cakes and slices to sell and for the judges lunches
2. Early morning volunteers, to help set up the trial equipment from 7.30am.
3. Volunteers to help with the cleaning up the clubroom and bringing back the trial equipment at the end of the trial, around 2.00pm.

If you think you can give us some time, please let me know.

If you are interested in coming along on the day, you are more than welcome, but please leave your fur babies at home.

Trial Manager

Last week was Volunteer Week and so it would be amiss of me to thank all the Instructors and Committee, who give up their time willingly to keep this club running.

More to the point, seeing as it was so wet yesterday, but the instructors were still there, giving of their time.

Also, many thanks to all those who purchased flowers yesterday. There were not many left at the end of the day. I will let you know in due coarse how much was made. Again thank you.

It was also lovely to see Noel out again with his Airedales. I have missed his sense of humour.

We hope that all the mothers had a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. Numbers were down today so perhaps a lot of mothers were being given special attention.

We welcomed three new dogs and their handlers at the Beginners session and also little Asterion, the white Swiss Shepherd, who was brought along for a visit by Linda his owner. Asterion is now 14 weeks old and took out Best Puppy in Group at yesterday's Dublin Kennel Club Championship Show held at SACA's grounds at Kilburn. This was Asterion's first show and his first ribbon, though we just couldn't get him to pose for the camera. Much more important things going on around him. Go Asterion!!

ANNOUNCING THE WINNER OF THE LUCKY SQUARES - Classes 4 and 5 looked on as our President, Annette, opened the Lucky Squares envelope to reveal the winner - Jan Bonner with Square Number 49. Her age?? It was only last week that we waved "Goodbye" to Jan on her retirement and, with some Instructors not available, we found we had to call her out of retirement to help out with instructing. Congratulations, Jan, on picking the "lucky square" and thank you for coming back so soon to help us out.

Thank you to everyone who bought squares. Better luck next time.
