Little fingers and treadmills don’t mix! Children are inquisitive and don’t often understand the risks associated with treadmills, especially friction burns. These injuries can happen quickly, so it’s important to remember these safety tips:

🔌 Unplug the treadmill when not in use
🚪 Place treadmills in rooms where you can close the door and remove access
👀 Supervise children when exercise equipment is being used
🎓 Teach older children that treadmills are not toys

This International Button Battery Awareness Day, it’s an important reminder that button batteries are hidden in plain sight. They power countless everyday products we use without a second thought.

While they look completely harmless, these tiny batteries pose a severe danger - if swallowed, they can become stuck in a child’s throat and burn through the oesophagus in less than two hours.

Swipe through for some simple steps you can take today to protect your family 👉

There is a common myth that a child who is struggling in water will splash, yell or cry out for help.

The reality? Childhood drowning is almost always completely silent. It can happen in less time than it takes to grab a fresh towel, and in just a few centimetres of water.

Because there is no noise to warn you, constant, active adult supervision is one of the most effective ways to keep your little ones safe around household water hazards - from the bathtub to the backyard pet bowl. This means staying within arm's reach at all times.

Don't rely on your ears - keep your eyes on them at all times 👀
