Yay!! Two new GO Karts arrived at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital today!! One will be in the Emergency Department and patient Ari, while unlucky to have injured herself this morning, was lucky enough to be the first one to give the Gaming Kart a try. Minecraft was her game of choice and it’s easy to see how gaming is such a great way to distract patients and reduce their anxiety while in ED. The other GO Kart has already found its way to the Paediatric Ward where it is also proving popular!! Thanks to Gamers Outreach and sponsors Hermitcraft and Grand Line Review for making this all possible and helping kids to just be kids while they are hospitalised.

“This little guy was heading into theatre to have his tonsils out and was a bit nervous. The nurses said we had some groovy gaming karts for him to play with and it was a great distraction as you can see.”

This week we were excited to deliver 2 new GO Karts to the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital / WCH Foundation, located on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. These are the first Gaming Karts for South Australia so it’s only fitting that these first ones go to the main children’s hospital in Adelaide where children from all over South Australia (and even children from Northern Territory) are hospitalised. We know that these GO Karts will make many kids’ hospital stay more enjoyable and help to pass the time as they undergo treatment. A huge thanks to Gamers Outreach and their sponsors BuiltByBit for donating these two GO Karts to a new hospital in a new state of Australia! 🇦🇺

We’re thrilled to share that three brand-new gaming GO Karts have just been delivered to the Children’s Ward at Grampians Health Ballarat – thanks to the incredible generosity of the Chalmers Family Foundation!

These mobile game stations are packed with fun and roll right up to a child’s bedside, offering a much-needed distraction during their hospital stay.

The karts were donated by Gamers Outreach (USA) and delivered by 15-year-old Oscar and his mum Sandy, who helped bring the project to Australia. Since launching the initiative, their family has delivered over 20 GO Karts to hospitals across Australia and NZ – and we’re so lucky to be one of them!

🎮 With 23 games to choose from – including Minecraft, NBA 2K24, Rocket League, Lego 2K Drive, Pac Man and more – there’s something for every kid (and even a few retro throwbacks for the grown-ups).

A huge thank you to Oscar, Sandy, Chris and everyone involved for helping us bring more smiles to the ward

What a day!!! We were proud to deliver 3 GO Karts to Perth Children's Hospital and Health Service today and we know these will have a huge impact in the Adolescent Ward, Mental Health Ward and Day Treatment Ward. These are the first Gaming Karts to make their way to Western Australia and Jayden was the first patient to get his hands on the controller and have some fun!! To Gamers Outreach (and the sponsors of these GO Karts, Hermitcraft and VFur) - thanks for making this all possible and working with our family’s foundation to make a huge difference to Aussie kids in hospital.

Emily has been enjoying some gaming time on the brand new GO Karts that arrived at Barwon Health this week. She has big plans to beat her brother at soccer when he comes in to visit.⚽️ We love that these Gaming Karts can make such a difference and bring connection, distraction and a bit of fun to hospitalised kids. 🎮 A huge thanks goes to Gamers Outreach in the USA and their sponsorship partners Hermitcraft and BuiltByBit, who made it possible for these two new GO Karts to make their way to Barwon Health (University Hospital Geelong) in Victoria, Australia.🇦🇺
