A series of images showing real examples of workplace teams working hard in our kitchen. In some images, the groups are posing with Alex Makes Meals tea towels and smiling. In others, individual team members are smiling: one at the washing up station; one operating our huge veggie dicer; and one opening a gigantic tin of lentils. In one image, four team members smile and point to a huge stack of silver insulated boxes, looking very proud of their work.

Two images feature text with testimonials, as follows:

“We had such an absolutely fab time cooking up a storm and helping to make a small but mighty contribution to all the hard work AMM do on a weekly basis! You’re all superstars 💫”
- Jessie, Merry People

“On behalf of the team, thank you so much for the opportunity to participate. Please pass on our sincere thanks also to Scott, Hazel and Eddie for the warm welcome. I know the team found the experience to be fun and we look forward to partnering again soon.”
- Sam, 67 Pall Mall Melbourne

The final image shows the Alex Makes Meals logo, with ‘Alex’ crossed out and ‘Your Team’ added in its place. Text underneath reads: ‘Join us in the kitchen for a corporate volunteering experience with outsized impact’.

BTS in the AMM kitchen 🎥

This week, we welcomed the team from Nando's ANZ into the kitchen to make some content for their NanDonation program.

Alex Makes Meals receives about 100kg of chicken every month, donated from local Nando’s restaurants. Because of that support, we’re able to make meals like this delicious peanut chicken curry, packed with high-quality protein, veg and healthy fats.

We just love bringing partners into the kitchen to see our operations in action, and to meet the volunteers who make it all happen. ❤️

Image descriptions:

1. A row of freshly packed meal containers of peanut chicken curry with white rice, garnished with spring onions and peanuts.
2. A close shot of a huge tray of prepped chicken, ready to be mixed into the curry. In the background, head chef Heather is pouring stock into the bratt pan, our huge commercial cooking pot.
3. Volunteers sticking labels onto the packaging lids. They’re concentrating hard but still smiling.
4. Kathleen, one of our dedicated volunteers, scoops curry into a container, with a serious expression on her face (it’s serious business). She’s wearing a bodycam to capture a first-person view of the action.
5. The videographer’s smartphone sitting on a benchtop, showing the bodycam footage as it’s recorded. In the film, we can see the curry stewing in the bratt pan.
6. Crates of packaged and labelled chicken curry, ready for delivery.

When feedback like this lands in our inbox, it reminds us why we do what we do.

This week is National Homelessness Week, and this feels like a timely reminder: When good food is delivered in partnership with incredible organisations like The Living Room (powered by Youth Projects), meals can help create lasting relationships that genuinely change lives. ♥️

Four slides with texts overlaying images of Melbourne, and the Alex Makes Meals kitchen. The text shows a quote from a feedback email sent to AMM:

“I love Alex Makes Meals. I used to go to The Living Room at Hosier Lane, and indulge in your culinary delights…

“I’ve lived in my H2H (Homeless to Housing) place for five years now. It’s home…

“But even while I’ve lived here, if I struggled with bills, I went to Hosier Lane, and they don’t mind if I get a couple of meal containers…

“You are an important part of so many lives … we are healthy and functioning, mentally and physically, because of your gifting of meals.”

Our team had the privilege of capturing the 2026 Feast to Feed Gala.

An unforgettable evening bringing together more than 400 guests in support of Alex Makes Meals.

The room was filled with philanthropists, hospitality professionals, chefs, media personalities, corporate partners, donors and community supporters including Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan, Emelia Jackson, Nat Thaipun, Andrea Vignali and host Sofia Levin, all united behind an incredible cause.

Together, the event raised more than $265,000 to help Alex Makes Meals continue preparing and delivering free, nutritious meals to people experiencing hardship.

Thank you to the Alex Makes Meals team for trusting us to document such a meaningful night.

Thank you to our wonderful weekend volunteers, who braved a rainy day to raise a huge $1,900 for food relief in Melbourne 🌭

Every $1 we raise funds one meal in the community, so events like this create real impact, as well as driving awareness of food insecurity.

Thanks to everyone at , Collingwood, who stopped for a sausage and a chat. And thanks to singing tradies who paid us a visit to brighten up the afternoon ☀️
