2027 GRANT ROUND | APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN 🔬
Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision is proud to announce over $1 million in available funding in our new 2027 Grant Round. This significant funding represents one of the largest Grant Rounds in Maddie’s Vision history. 💜

These opportunities will support emerging scientists and clinician-researchers, foster collaboration and strengthen research capacity across the field – helping advance our understanding of Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes and improve diagnosis, treatment and care for people affected by these conditions.

🔬 Collaborative Research and Capacity Building Grant
Up to $150,000 per year for three years, supporting a high-quality, collaborative research project focused on Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.

🔬 Brian M. Davis Fellowship in Paediatric Bone Marrow Failure
Up to $100,000 per year for three years, supporting an early-career clinician-researcher undertaking clinically relevant research into paediatric Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.

🔬 Captain Courageous Fellowship
Up to $100,000 per year for three years, supporting an early-career postdoctoral scientist undertaking research focused on inherited Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.

Created in collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients and carers, the guide provides clear, practical and compassionate information to help people navigate transplantation with greater confidence.

Behind every bone marrow and stem cell transplant journey is a carer providing support, strength and reassurance every step of the way.

Join us for our next webinar, a special session focused on the vital role carers play throughout the bone marrow and stem cell transplant journey, and the importance of ensuring they receive support too.

We'll be joined by Tania Daniels from Carers Victoria, who will discuss resources and support available for carers, as well as James Watt, a registered nurse who will share his personal experience caring for his husband following an allogeneic stem cell transplant.

We’re excited to announce our August 2026 Scholarship recipients — three outstanding women making a meaningful impact in blood cancer care.

🩸 Kristina Whelan will attend BLOOD 2026 to deepen her expertise in long term survivorship following stem cell transplant and CAR T therapy.
🩸 Lilli Seyfried, Clinical Nurse Educator from Hobart, will travel to Auckland for the Blood Conference to strengthen nursing education and evidence based practice.
🩸 Melissa Weinstein, Oncology Social Worker and Team Leader, will attend the OSWANZ Conference to advance psychosocial support for patients, carers and families.

These scholarships, made possible through the generous support of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, empower healthcare professionals to access leading research, connect with peers, and bring new knowledge back to their services

A lovely connection within the Arrow community.

Arrow supporter Paul Seshold recently caught up over coffee with Arrow Master’s student and nurse Grace Liu.

It’s always special to see these connections in person, bringing together our wonderful supporters with the nurses undertaking further study to strengthen care for bone marrow and stem cell transplant patients.

💬 Have Your Say on Post-Transplant Care

Researchers at the University of Wollongong are inviting stem cell transplant patients and carers to share their experiences as part of a national study into improving long-term follow-up care.

The 30–60 minute online interview or focus group will help shape more patient-centred survivorship care in Australia.
