I
Missed a couple of important people in my last post in regards to ANZAC DAY.
Georgia Brier on the Trumpet, great job done as usual, thank you.
Tony Coombes on the bagpipes. A sound that sends shivers down my spine every time. And the new uniform for the street parade was outstanding.
On behalf our Sub Branch we thank you both.

I would like to put out a huge thank you to all that assisted with this years ANZAC DAY Dawn Service. The behind the scenes work done by the RSL Sub Branch Committee, in particular Carol our secretary, who did the organising and liaising with others for the dawn service. Bob, the VP, attending the high school service the day before. Along with Ross (Carols husband), who does more in the background than people realise.
The ladies from the council, Keely and co for their work and assistance with the sound crew, flags and lights, and for taking the time to come to the RSL to meet and discuss, the Choiristers for their attendance at the Dawn Service and of the course FLGTOFF Katrina Ford and the Air Force Cadets for manning the catafalque party once again. Pastor Geoff and his wife. A job well done. Kim, our 2up man and of course all of the community, especially the school kids, for their attendance at the dawn service. Without all the support and the behind the scenes work, it would not be what it is.
My sincere thanks to all and hope to see you all again in August for Veterans day, November for Rembrance Day.

To those in the community that have given donations to the RSL Sub Branch for ANZAC DAY, we are extremely appreciative. Woolworths for your continued support each year, Mitre10 for your donation for a raffle to raise some funds, Enterprise Hotel for the donation of a carton to be raffled off and to Burnzies Bakery for their donation towards the ANZAC DAY breakfast. We are proud to be part off a community that continuously gives to support our veterans on these days.
