There’s something special about the way country music carries family stories through generations. It’s in the songs sung by our grandparents, the tunes played at community dances, and the lyrics that speak of life on the land.
At Gympie Family History during the Gympie Music Muster, we celebrate not just the music, but the families behind it — the pioneers who built our towns, worked the soil, and passed down their stories in songs.
Our tree display honours these connections — family trees with deep roots, and country tunes that keep the stories alive. It still happens today, so if you are heading to the Muster keep your eyes and ears open for our own local Linc Phelps, telling stories from today that we will still be hearing tomorrow! 100%
