Support Your Community-Owned Rex Theatre This Tax Time

As the end of the financial year approaches, now is the perfect time to make a tax-deductible donation to support the Charlton Rex Theatre.

Built in 1938, the Rex Theatre has been bringing people together for generations. Since 2006, it has been community-owned and operated entirely by volunteers, ensuring this iconic local venue continues to serve our region.

Through our partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and directly support projects that help preserve and improve the Rex for future generations.

Your donation will help fund:

Restoration and ongoing maintenance of the historic Rex Theatre building, including preservation of its iconic façade

Infrastructure upgrades to our cinema equipment, helping us continue to bring the latest movies to our community

Improvements to our live performance equipment and facilities, supporting concerts, theatre productions and community events

Every dollar donated goes towards maintaining and improving this important community asset.
