Yes, there may be plenty of reasons to be discouraged, disappointed, and even disillusioned, either personally for you in your family, or even more broadly across our nation and the world…

Yet the ancient truth of the Word of God speaks to us in season like these and calls us up above the natural order of things! 

Habakkuk‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!”

My prayer for us this week is that we would choose joy, choose hope. Yes, we can not change our circumstances, but we can choose our response. 

Can I encourage you to join with us this Sunday as we celebrate our monthly worship prayer and communion service! These mornings are always powerful and transformative for us as a church. And… I’d also like to extend an invitation to you to join us on Sunday afternoon from 5pm for Alpha - dinner and an opportunity to talk openly about faith and life!
