Remember to stay busy in dua and dhikr for the rest of today. Second, it is a highly recommended sunnah to get busy over the next few days with constant takbir, remembering that Allah is the Greatest. Especially after prayers, as this in this time of the year this deed was especially beloved to the prophet ï·ș.

After Arafah and Eid, hold onto the good habits you have formed over the past 10 days. Take this as a chance to set new standards for yourself.

May Allah privilege us with completing Hajj in the coming year, Eid Mubarak, and May Allah enable us to see these great days return in blessings and goodness.

The day of Arafah is the best day of the year, a day when millions gather upon that mountain to remember their Lord and ask for His forgiveness. And the Prophet encouraged the one who isn’t physically there to honour this day by fasting instead, hoping it may be an expiation for all of a person’s sins of the year prior.

It’s a time to spend in long, sincere, and intentional dua. Allah hears all and knows what’s in your hearts. So don’t hold back. There is no limit on how much you can supplicate Allah on this day. Pray to your heart’s desire and spend the day in various acts of worship.

We ask Allah to make us among those forgiven on the day of Arafah, and may He allow us the opportunity to gather there in the coming year to perform Hajj, the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Messenger of Allah (ï·ș) encouraged believers to hold fast to Qiyam al-Lail, describing it as the practice of the righteous before them.

The night prayer is a means of drawing closer to Allah, preventing sin, expiating bad deeds, and protecting the body against disease.

During this blessed month of Dhul Hijjah, the significance of the night prayer becomes that much more virtuous, and the nobility of a believer is truly tested and reaffirmed.

It is reported by Abu Huraira RA, “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The nobility of a believer is in his prayer at night, and his honor is in his independence from what belongs to people.”

The sacrifice of Udhiyah is more than a tradition. It is an emphasised Sunnah, a legacy of Prophet Ibrahim AS, and an opportunity to seek closeness to Allah through sincerity, sacrifice, and obedience.

The Prophet ï·ș said that for every hair of the sacrificed animal, there is reward. A reminder that no act done for Allah goes unseen, and no sincere effort goes unrewarded.

The merit of the udhiya in that it extinguishes sins like no other form of charity, hence why it must be observed with only specific animals (cattle) and within a specific timeframe (Morning of 10th Dul Hijja until the sunset of the 13th), and a person needs to learn these rules if they wish to offer a valid udhiya (qurban).

As we move through these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, may Allah allow us to embody devotion with sincerity, generosity with gratitude, and worship with purpose.

Prophet Muhammad (ï·ș) said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small.”
- Sahih al‑Bukhari 6464

These words remind us that faith is built on steady, sincere devotion, not on overwhelming bursts of effort that fade with time. As we reach the halfway point of these blessed ten days, this is our moment to cultivate habits that are sustainable, heartfelt, and pleasing to Allah.

May Allah elevate our hearts and accept every effort we make in these sacred days.

MCIS x Arafah Ascent, Day 5
May Allah accept your duas and good deeds, Ameen.
