Love habitat gardening and local wildlife? Join our very first volunteer Gardens for Wildlife team!
Glen Eira is launching its Gardens for Wildlife program, and we're looking for expressions of interest for our inaugural group of Garden Guide volunteers to help bring it to life. If you enjoy gardening, have an interest in native plants and wildlife, and want to share your knowledge and passion with others, we'd love to hear from you. Garden Guides will support local residents to create habitat gardens by visiting participating gardens with another volunteer, sharing practical advice, and helping inspire more gardens for wildlife across Glen Eira.
Training, resources and ongoing support will be provided, so you don't need to be an expert. Garden Guides don't do any hands-on gardening, landscaping or garden maintenance. The role is all about sharing habitat gardening advice, ideas and tips to help residents.
This is a great opportunity to help shape a new program, connect with like-minded people and make a positive impact for local biodiversity.
