It’s Sir David Attenborough’s birthday weekend and to celebrate, the Friends of Elster Creek Trail are planting 100 native plants in his honour!

Fancy coming along to help? You can join them on Saturday the 9th of May from 10am onwards. The Friend’s group will be at their monthly working bee where they come together to increase biodiversity and support fauna along one of Glen Eira’s significant wildlife corridors. Anyone is invited to come and be a part of the group!

Bring your sturdy shoes, any gardening gloves that you might have and an enthusiastic attitude. For more information, click on the link below.

Sir David Attenborough is turning 100 and we’re celebrating properly, with his signature films, big ideas and a world class panel of climate change experts who know what they’re talking about.

Join us on Friday 8 May, between 6pm – 8pm at Monash University (Caulfield campus) for a screening of classic David Attenborough moments, followed by a conversation with the Port Phillip Baykeeper Neil Blake OAM, senior lecturer of climate science Dr Linden Ashcroft, urban ecologist Dr Jacinta Humphrey and climate science communicator Amelia Pearson. We’ll celebrate the natural world, talk climate and biodiversity close to home, and ask the big question: what can each of us do for nature?

The event is free and will sell out quickly. Secure your ticket below and don’t miss out!

My daughter wanted to plant some flowers in the garden to brighten things up as we can’t seem to find too much colour growing at the moment. These snap dragons have been thriving since they entered the soil 🤩

My daughter and I had so much fun creating these teacup succulent mini gardens at the EcoConnect Festival being held by last Saturday. The turned out SO CUTE! I didn’t realise there were SO MANY different kinds of succulents to choose from. And I managed to take a few more home to brighten up some sad looking empty pots at home. 🌵🍵☕️
