This National Child Protection Week, we're reminded that creating a safe and inclusive surfing environment is everyone's responsibility.

Whether you're in the water, on the sand, coaching, volunteering or supporting from the sidelines, we all have a role to play in helping protect children and young people in our sport.

This year's theme, 'Shifting Conversation to Action', encourages us to turn awareness into meaningful action.

From learning more about child-safe practices to speaking with young people about what makes them feel safe, every action can make a difference.

Head to the link in our bio to explore child safeguarding resources, upcoming education opportunities and practical ways you can help create a safer surfing community.

Protecting children and young people is everybody's business.

Isabella Nichols takes home Runner-Up at the 2026 World Surf League Fiji Pro!

After a challenging start to the 2026 season, Isabella Nichols has hit her stride at the business end of the year, putting together back-to-back deep runs at two of the Tour’s most iconic stops!

Her semifinal finish at the Teahupo’o Pro was followed by a runner-up result at the Fiji Cloudbreak Pro!

Unfortunately, Bella was unable to surf her final at Cloudbreak after an injury in the semifinals!

Despite that, the result marks another huge step forward and a turning point for Isabella Nichols, now sitting World No. 9!

Some special moments from the 2026 Australian Shortboard Titles.

A massive thank you to all competitors for an unforgettable week in Wollongong. From the opening heats and building swell to the final day at Sandon Point, we saw some incredible surfing across every generation.

The week also brought a special moment as the surfing community came together for a paddle out in honour of Mark Lane, celebrating his life and the lasting impact he had on Australian surfing.
