Lightning Queens - Autumn Sh*tbox Rally 2026

Our Coffee Cruise on August 16th is taking a departure from the norm.

This month, our cruise coincides with the Autoplex AGM where CSAF Members and interested members of the community are invited to drive their pride and joy in for a Show ‘n Shine.

Parking is in the rear carpark at Autoplex, 35 Etty St, Castlemaine.

There will be a coffee van on site at around 9:00 am and Autoplex will be open for viewing.

The AGM will start at 10:00 am and everyone is welcome to attend. Special guest speakers, the Lightning Queens, will share their experience of driving the recent Sh*tbox Rally to raise funds for cancer.

A BBQ lunch will be available from 11:30 am (a $5 donation is appreciated to help cover costs)

This SUNDAY 16 August we are looking forward to welcoming, CSAF members and the Castlemaine Coffee Cruise to Autoplex. Bring your vehicles for a mini show 'n shine. Display rooms will be open.

The coffee van will be on-site at 9am for those who need a Caffeine boost and we're going to be served a BBQ lunch by the wonderful members of Rotary Castlemaine.

Sure, we have to slip in an Annual General Meeting at 10am but it will be on point and with a special announcement to make.

We are also looking forward to hearing from Shazza and Stace about the Lightning Queens - Autumn Sh*tbox Rally 2026. No show 'n shine prize for them with all the red dust they've gathered from Port Douglas to Melbourne but sure to be some ripper yarns.

Going to be a great Sunday morning. Hope you can make it.

Lighting Queens, still smiling, have left the big smoke and on route for home, missing all the potholes. God these are the worst roads we’ve travelled.

We arrived home to our fur babies; Lexy, Hudson, Bella & Sheriff who were more excited to see us than our other halves.

Now time to unpack and give Lighting a good bath. 🚘⚡️

Part 3
We stopped at the Railway Hotel in Hayfield for a last drink on the rally.
We had a quick stop at Garfield to see some of our buddy groups family & friends.

The Green Hornet, a 1969 Austin broke down and we had to fix it before the finish line.
And then the freeway was closed due to an accident, so we took the detour which added time. The race was on to get to the finish before 5pm,…we lost each other in peak hour traffic but managed to regroup just before the finish line!
Even know we were the last group to arrive we rallied to the end & had the most amazing experience creating new friendships, raising money for cancer council and memories to last forever & of course we want to do it again!!

We headed back to our motel for a hot shower and went out for dinner.

Today is auction day, but I need to get my hair washed lol
Buddy group 24 will meet up this arvo for the awards dinner and after party tonight.

It was still quite foggy and frosty leaving Dargo.
We took some dirt tracks and eventually ended up on the bitumen.

Our last day on the rally, it was a very fresh frosty start to the day, waking up to realise that we were trapped in our tent with the zip being frozen solid!! 🥶
