Good Evening Castlemaine Backgammon!

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF EVENING!!!

Our regular club meeting is tomorrow WEDNESDAY the 21st of October at 6pm at THE SHEDSHAKER TAPROOM. https://maps.app.goo.gl/zivTvmJQUUUGA6uG8.

We have started a $5 tournament. You can enter for free but you will not be eligible for cash prizes. If you enter with $5 you are in the running for a cash prize. 3 point matches to start in round 1, culminating in a 7 point final. You gotta be in it to win it.

THE CUBE IS IN PLAY! We have started to use the doubling cube which adds an entirely new dimension to this game. No one is obliged to use the cube but it is really fun so come and learn!

As the season is changing and daylight savings has ended we may be upstairs depending on the weather.

I am not able to be present this evening as I will be on the way to the Gold Coast for the QLD Championships. Could somebody please volunteer to arrive a little early to organise the table? I’ll make sure a reservation has been made.
The Backgammon World Championships have been played and we have a new world champion. Three time finalist and first time winner Petko Kostadinov from USA is the new world champion.
I will attach links to the ‘Backgammon Galaxy’ youtube channel where matches have been live streamed with commentary. There are some amazing world class matches to watch and the commentary is incredibly informative.
