Congratulations to all our riders who took on the 3 Peaks Ride (which ended up only being 2 following the fire damage on Mount Alexander) last month.

This energetic crew set a challenge of riding 2 of our 3 peaks this year - covering off Mount Tarrengower and Mount Franklin - to enjoy a day of riding, but also to raise money for Dhelkaya Health.

As if these hills are not challenging enough, we heard that one rider had to also contend with 4 flat tyres throughout the event! And still finished with a smile on his face😜

Thanks again to each and every one of you - and to your supporters - for raising just over $1,500 which will go towards our Therapeutic Playground project.

🚴‍♂️ Three Peaks Ride for a Great Cause! 🚴‍♀️

The Castlemaine Rouleurs are pictured here fuelling up for their very own ‘Three Peaks Ride’, a local challenge raising vital funds for Dhelkaya Health.

After more than 20 years of participating in the Murray to Moyne (M2M) relay, the team originally planned a simple reunion ride following the 2024 event. But after connecting with Dhelkaya Health, that idea quickly evolved into something bigger — an annual local fundraiser with real community impact.

📍 When: Saturday, 28th March
📍 What: A challenging 120km ride conquering Mount Alexander, Mount Tarrengower, and Mount Franklin

Riders will take on the course in true M2M spirit — choosing distances and climbs that suit their ability. Some will tackle all three peaks, while others will ‘ride to survive’ and complete part of the course, ensuring everyone can be part of this incredible effort.

Even more special, some team members are travelling from Geelong, Ballarat, and as far as Perth to reunite and ride for the cause 💙

The Castlemaine Rouleurs are busy preparing for their next charity ride intent on raising funds for Dhelkaya Health.

The "Three Peaks Ride" is their local alternative to the Murray to Moyne (M2M) cycle relay which many of the team members participated in for over twenty years.
After the completion of the 2024 M2M the team decided to simply have a reunion ride each year to coincide with the M2M, however after a discussion with Dhelkaya Health this quickly changed to being our local charity ride.

Former members of the team are coming from Geelong, Ballarat and Perth especially to participate in our annual fundraising event. On Saturday 28th March the team members will ride a 120km course that includes Mount Alexander, Mount Tarrengower and Mount Franklin.

Akin to the M2M cycle relay, the individual members will select the distance and combination of mountains that they can physically manage within the time available. The younger and fitter half of our team will complete the whole 120 km and ascend all three mountains. The other half will ride-to-survive and complete a proportion of the route including at least one of the three peaks.

The Castlemaine Rouleurs are delighted that our loyal sponsors continue to support our fundraising efforts and that all funds raised, including private donations, will be directed to the construction of a therapeutic playground at the Castlemaine campus.

Well, it's that time of year! Our riders are getting miles in their legs (and their bikes) in preparation for tackling the 3 Peaks Ride in late March.

This crew is at it again!

And we can't thank them enough. This year's fundraising ride from Castlemaine Rouleurs will happen this Saturday when they take on our local 3 peaks.

⛰⛰⛰The 3 peaks ride takes in the iconic Mount Alexander (Leanganook), Mount Franklin (Lalgambook) and Mount Tarrengower circuit that surrounds our Shire. It's not a ride for the faint-hearted, this 120km circuit will have the riders pushed to their limits but all in the name of supporting a fantastic cause!
