It was an action packed end to the season tonight with long time member Alex Michalak taking out the title convincingly. Alex had a great season, ever thoughtful in his approach and oh so consistent. We think Alex should have a crack at taking on the pro leagues and wish him well up north at the ACL Australia open later this year.

Well done to Mark Triston for taking out second place, a great effort making it along to almost every round and improving a huge amount over the season. In third place sits the indominable Brad Coulton who was also been a mainstay of the league for the last few years, a great effort Brad, always a great presence on the pitch.

Thank you to everyone that has played a part in the Newcastle Co****le League since 2021, it would not have been the same without you.

Dear all,

Over the course of the year we've had dwindling attendance. With committee members outnumbering attendees on some nights we've given it some thought and have decided to finish the season off a round early and wind things up tonight. Things will as always kick off at 6 and we should at night's end be able to tally up the final numbers for the season premier. We won't be holding an end of year playoff this year as we do not have the numbers to do so in a meaningful way.

Thanks to everyone that has come along over the last few years, from a stalled start due to the pandemic to a busy season last year I think we've all had a great time. Thank you especially to those that have helped along the way with getting things up and running, your efforts are much appreciated.

Carrington Bowlo has been a fabulous host for our league and we want to extend an extra special thank you to the Jaci and club for putting up with us over the years. If anyone is keen to keep things ticking please reach out and we are happy to get you started.

Looking forward to seeing you this evening if you can make it, even if you've not managed many rounds this year it would be great to see you come along to have a bit of fun and catch up.

Sadly due to the constant rain we are going to have to call it for tonight. We are now not far away from the next round anyway so lets consider this month a wash out and reconvene on the first Monday of September. Looking forward to it finally!!

Oh no, Round 7 is Postponed until next week! Sorry to all who were excited to head down to Carrington for round 7 this Monday but we've had a few things come up and none of the organising team are able to make it. We will see you there with bells on on the 13th, from there round 8 will be just around the corner.

Round 6 of Co****le is upon us this Monday and we are looking forward to a brisk midwinter evening of co****le. As always we will kick off at 6 but earlier arrival is appreciated so we can get the nights draw up and running quickly. Round 5 of the Newcastle Co****le League is right around the corner and although our season is already in progress, we of course welcome newcomers who would like to poke their heads in to see what its all about.

To all our registered players, we hope you are enjoying the 2023 season so far and we want to remind you that Round 5 is approaching, scheduled for June 5th at 6pm. Looking forward to see you all again!

To ensure everyone gets a fair chance to participate, we kindly suggest arriving a bit earlier. This will allow us to get organise and have you off and throwing right away.

Also, for those that ordered shirts and hoodies, the gear is in!

Newcastle Co****le League Round 4 is upon us. Whilst we have a season underway first timers are still very much welcome to come along and check it all out.

For those already signed up we hope you're all doing well and enjoying the 2023 season so far. We wanted to remind you that Round 4 is just around the corner and will be taking place on May the first at 6pm. We can't wait to see all of you there!

To ensure that everyone is included in the draw, we recommend that you get there a bit earlier. This will give us time to make sure everything is organized and ready to go.

We're looking forward to another exciting round of co****le and can't wait to see you all there. Let's make Round 4 a great one!

As always, we are very much looking forward to this Monday's round, kicking off at 6PM on the 3rd of April. Ensure that you get there earlier so we can get the draw locked in and be off and playing at. We had a great round earlier this Month, with Alex and Brigitta taking out the first title of the year, with many more opportunities for contenders to come throughout the season. As with last year we are going to proceed with the random draw > paired finals format.

There has however been a great suggestion from some of our members that perhaps we could consider a more casual social bracket.

There are some large skill differences amongst the league and we want to make sure everyone enjoys themselves. Thus we wanted to gauge interest from members on holding a concurrent social bracket in which you can play singles or pairs against others who are more inclined for a less competitive throw. We can do up a quick draw or instead just let the social players pair up for a fun series of social matches. We will keep this section of the draw separate from main scoring but organise some prizes for best attendance at the end of the year. Keen to hear the thoughts of the members on this one.

We are organised and ready to collect fees for this year so please bring along your $50 for this year's season, new members can have a shirt organised and for existing members we can arrange another shirt in a different style, a discount on a hoodie or an alternate piece of kit. Happy to discuss this on the day. This year's fees will go toward things like additional club boards, bags and maintaining the prize pool.

Hey there Co****le fans,

I hope you're all gearing up for a killer season of throwing bags and dominating the competition. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we're going to have to postpone Round 1 of the Newcastle Co****le League.

Round 1 will now take place on Monday March 13th. So, you've got a little bit more time to practice your toss, perfect your grip, and psych out your opponents.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we'll have an even more exciting and competitive Round 1 when the time comes.
