Cycling Without Age is a not-for-profit charity that provides elderly people and those less able with an opportunity to avoid social isolation and remain active in their community by taking them out for bike rides in specially built trishaw ebikes piloted by volunteer cyclists. We believe everyone has the right to the wind in their hair, the right to experience the outdoors and the opportunity to tell their story in the environment where they have lived their lives.

⭐ COMMUNITY RIDE DAYS ⭐

May was a busy month for us across all our locations!

Despite the cooler temperatures and strong winds, we welcomed plenty of regular riders along with some new faces. A highlight was a special guest, Nev the seal enjoying a sunbake, which everyone loved 🦭

Unfortunately, we did have to cancel some rides due to heavy rain and we mean a lot of rain but safety always comes first.

We also celebrated Volunteer Week with a breakfast alongside some of our amazing volunteers. THANK YOU for everything you do! 🙌❤

Thank you to Novacare Community Services who make this possible and keep the wheels turning 💚💙

⭐️ COMMUNITY RIDE DAYS ⭐

What incredible days out and about we've had with our wonderful regular riders, some new faces including visitors from Sweden, a lovely couple from Bundaberg, families holidaying from Orange and a couple from Mt Colo who loved the experience so much they insisted on paying (even though our rides are FREE!). Our wonderful pilots encouraged them instead to pay it forward by spreading the word, which they happily agreed to.

We also met a couple who had been walking around before we finally convinced them to hop on for a ride - they absolutely loved it and promised to come back again. We even caught sight of the NSW Women’s State of Origin team at Newcastle Beach!

So many special moments were shared catching up with familiar faces and making new friends. Days like these are exactly why we love what we do! ❤️

Thank you to Novacare Community Services who make this possible and keep the wheels turning 💚💙

🚲 Cycling Without Age – A Perfect Day by the Foreshore ☀️💙

What a beautiful blue-sky day for a ride along the foreshore! Our passengers soaked up the sunshine, enjoyed the fresh sea breeze, and took in the stunning views along the way.

There’s nothing quite like getting out and about and feeling the wind in your hair.

A big thank you to our amazing trishaw volunteers for making it all possible — you bring so much joy to every ride! 💙🚲

What a wonderful morning celebrating Seniors Week with our “Live Life in Colour” themed morning tea! 🌈

With beautiful weather and a fantastic turnout, it was lovely to see so many people come together to enjoy good company, laughter and plenty of colour.

A special thank you to the Heavenly Cup Coffee Van for the delicious coffee that kept everyone warm and smiling ☕ and to our amazing trishaw pilots Ken and Chris, who took our friends for relaxing rides around beautiful Carrington. 🚲

Events like these are a wonderful reminder to keep living life in colour, staying connected and enjoying time together in our community. 💛
