The Victoria University (VU) stand was a popular spot throughout the day at the 2026 Brimbank Careers Exploration Day.

It was fantastic to see so many meaningful conversations happening and students asking thoughtful questions about what comes next after school.

Events like this are all about connection, curiosity and access to information – and it was great to young people in the west explore their opportunities with VU.

In 2025, Future Connect supported 1,805 students across all our industry and workplace visits, work readiness workshops and career-focused events.

Behind every number is a student gaining insight, skills and confidence about what comes next, whether that’s understanding a new industry, building work-readiness skills or seeing how classroom learning connects to real careers.

These outcomes reflect strong collaboration with schools, industry partners and community stakeholders, and a growing demand for meaningful, real-world learning experiences for young people across Brimbank and Melton.

Amazon is a familiar name to most, but for our students, this workplace visit showed there’s much more behind the brand than fast deliveries and online shopping.

Since 2023, Amazon.com.au has worked closely with Future Connect to welcome students from schools across Brimbank and Melton, offering a rare behind-the-scenes experience of how technology, teamwork, and innovation drive one of the world’s leading companies.

To date, Amazon Australia has welcomed 288 students from 16 schools across our region. Each visit has helped students build confidence, ask questions about the world of work, and see how their classroom learning connects to real careers.

Future Connect’s Employer of the Month spotlight celebrates companies like Amazon Australia that give students meaningful exposure to real workplaces, helping them build confidence, curiosity and a clearer sense of career direction.
