🎨🌿 2 Weeks to Go - Time to Get Your Paint Australia Beautiful Entry Started! 🌿🎨

With just two weeks until submissions officially close, now is the perfect time to start planning your school's mural entry for the 2026 Paint Australia Beautiful School Mural Competition.

And if school holidays are here (or just around the corner), why not give your students some holiday homework OR turn your holiday program into a creative project with a lasting impact? Students can work together to design a mural that celebrates nature, sustainability and protecting our environment - creating a legacy that will remain on your school walls for years to come. 🌏💚

It's as easy as:

1️⃣ Design a nature-inspired mural based on this year's theme, Protecting for Generations
2️⃣ Submit an individual student design or a whole-class project online
3️⃣ Win premium Dulux Australia paint and supplies to bring the mural to life at your school

Remember, murals can now be painted on indoor public walls too - libraries, hallways, gymnasiums and reception areas all qualify!

The 2026 theme underscores that climate action is not just about reducing carbon emissions—it is about rethinking the systems that power our economies and repairing our relationship with the climate

This Day is an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and communities to deepen their understanding and take responsible action to protect our environment.

There is only one awarded each year, it is the highest individual honour we award in the Tidy Towns and Cities Sustainability AwardsThe Dame Phyllis Frost Award is awarded each year to one person whose contribution has had a significant sustainability impact on their community. There is only one awarded each year, it is the highest individual honour we award in the Tidy Towns and Cities Sustainability Awards.

You can nominate yourself for this award or someone you believe has truly gone above and beyond. In 2024 we posthumously recognised Michelle McCready for her outstanding contributions to over 15 years of exemplary service and impact.

Received by her daughter, it was an inspiring and uplifting moment in an event full of inspiring and uplifting people and projects.

Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria is proud to be - All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026 - 27 May to 3 June

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.

The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

The campaign was created in collaboration with Carbon Creative, a First Nations-owned and operated marketing and creative agency.

The artwork for this campaign is by renowned Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey, who applied his distinctive style to create a colourful and optimistic visual representation of people from all walks of life being ‘all in’ to make change.
