Carlton Academy Of Early Learning Carlton Academy of Early Learning is privately owned and operated child care centre. We cater for children between the ages of 20 months – 5 years.

At Carlton Academy of Early Learning we believe an early learning centre should be a calm, warm and welcoming environment where children and their families enjoy a sense of belonging. The centre is open Monday – Friday from 7am to 6
pm for 52 weeks of the year (closed on NSW Public Holidays).

Our Preschool children have been extending on their interest in collecting shells during their beach adventures. Using magnifying glasses, they closely explored the different types, sizes, colours, patterns, and textures of shells they discovered.

This hands-on experience encourages curiosity, observation skills, and early scientific thinking as children investigate and compare the unique features of natural materials. Learning through exploration helps build language, problem-solving skills, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world around them.

Thank you to our wonderful local firefighters for visiting us and collaborating with us to teach the children about fire safety.

The children loved learning about dialing Triple Zero (000), “Stop, Drop & Roll,” and exploring the fire truck. Such a fun and valuable experience for our little children

🌳🌿 Forest School adventure 🌿🌳

Our preschoolers immersed themselves in nature, observing trees, collecting leaves, listening to birds, and sharing thoughtful discussions about what they discovered. They enjoyed active play on the playground, building confidence, teamwork, and resilience along the way.

They also reflected on their experience by drawing detailed recollections of their adventure, capturing everything from towering trees to their favourite climbing frames.

What a beautiful day of exploration, imagination, and connection with nature.

Throughout Carlton Academy, our environments are set up to invite curiosity, exploration and imaginative play. From quiet corners to open ended play areas, each space naturally encourages children to slow down, wonder, create and connect.

These setups evolve with the children, reflecting their interests, ideas and the many ways they choose to learn through play each day.
