Trump’s despicable threats are unacceptable to the Australian public; our leaders must also reject violent, maniacal acts. Again we call on Anthony Albanese to withdraw all political, military support.

Far from committing more support to US/Israel illegal war, Anthony Albanese should immediately withdraw all political support.

The PM supported the war, citing the Iranian people’s oppression, Iranian terrorism in Australia, and the need to act to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. None of these justifications have any basis in international law, and none of these objectives can be achieved by military force.

In Iran and across the region, predictable humanitarian costs are mounting. People around the globe are experiencing rising costs and shortages of life’s essentials. There is no clear path to de-escalation or resolution.

Australia must withdraw all support now.

The current “might is right” conflicts that are raging are making everyone less secure. Global threats, including that of nuclear war, persist. How can we Australians help promote new forms of collaborative leadership that recognise our global interdependence? How can we hasten the abandonment of dangerous developments such as AUKUS?

Please join us for interactive discussions with two activist experts from the US to develop strategies around these questions. This is a free event and numbers are strictly limited, so book now.

You're invited to our next documentary screening - and this one is a little different.

Margaret River Regional Environment Centre and Action and Resilience Collective have come together to host a screening of Abby Martin’s ( ) brand new film, Earth’s Greatest Enemy, a documentary exposé of the world's biggest polluter which brings into focus the deep connections between environmental and social justice.

Exempt from international climate agreements and rarely scrutinised in mainstream reporting, the Pentagon is the world’s single largest institutional polluter, spewing carbon, contaminating water, and scarring landscapes across the globe. Combining investigative journalism, striking visuals, and stories from impacted communities, this film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences.

The film lays bare a truth that’s often ignored: you cannot protect the environment without confronting the systems that are destroying it. Imperialism, militarism and capitalism are not separate from the ecological crisis - they are at its very core.

We’re excited to have several noteworthy speakers joining us for the event, including Sam Wainwright from Stop AUKUS WA, Peter Underwood from the Medical Association for Prevention of War, and, zooming in from deep within the belly of Empire, Jessica Burbank, investigative journalist and filmmaker who has covered the global environmental and social impacts of militarism.

Tea, coffee and nibbles will be provided by volunteers on the evening. Please bring a dish to share if you’d also like to contribute.

We look forward to sharing this space with you for an evening of timely learning and community connection.

Tickets available here (free entrance for mob and for those experiencing financial hardship - DM us for a code. Nobody gets turned away): https://events.humanitix.com/earths-greatest-enemy
