Flare is a student-run dance club that holds classes for our members with styles ranging from ballet, contemporary, hip-hop and other choreography.

We offer weekly classes of Choreography, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and many more st

yles. Every year, we perform at various events around Melbourne and embark on many video projects that can be viewed on our YouTube channel. We also hold an annual production every year around October at the university's theatre to showcase the talent of our members. ABN: 81 897 735 005

Video Projects are back this year… and we are looking for choreographers who want to show off their work on film!

Video projects are choreography projects taught over the course of four rehearsals.
They are non-auditioned, open to all dancers, and an opportunity for dancers to practice and perfect a choreography over a month.

All styles are welcome, just submit 30 seconds of choreography to the form (LINK COMING SOON)

What lies beneath the surface? What drives us, connects us, challenges us, and makes us who we are? Our 2026 Production explores these questions through 11 original pieces, each telling its own story. Through movement, every piece asks the same question: what is at the centre of us?
