truism and charity. The Arya Samaj was founded by Maharishi Swami Dayananda Saraswati, a sanyasin (renouncer) who believed in the infallible authority of the Vedas. He advocated the doctrine of karma and reincarnation, and emphasised the ideals of brahmacharya (chastity) and sanyasa (renunciation). The motto of the Arya Samaj taken from the Vedas is "Krinvanto Vishwam Aaryam" (Rig Veda 9.63.5) - Make all men Aarya (noble and cultured). Hence, by being a part of a Noble Society (Arya Samaj), you enjoin with a commitment to becoming an Aarya (Noble Person), who gathers in religious assemblies to propagate the teachings of the Vedas so that you can ennoble (make noble) those who aren't noble - Making the Universe Noble. "I do not entertain the least idea of founding a new religion or sect. My sole aim is to believe in Truth and help others believe in it, to reject falsehood and help others to do the same."

Today, Victoria Arya Samaj had sacred Yaj in the spirit of the Winter Solstice, a timeless Vedic prayer for light, purity, harmony and for universal wellbeing.

We also tried healthy aging Yoga poses as part of International Day of Yoga 2026, remembering that true yoga is far more than physical postures. It is the union of body, mind and soul; a path of self-discipline, inner peace and oneness with the Divine.

As we offered our prayers into the sacred Yaj and quietened our minds through meditation, we were reminded that the greatest transformation begins within. May we continue to cultivate truth, compassion and selfless service, carrying this inner light into our families, our community and the world.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to breathe, reconnect, reflect and walk together on the path of harmony and spiritual growth. 🕉️🔥🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️🙏🏽
