We loved welcoming the judges for the Clifford Gouldson Lawyers Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards to our Toowoomba Workshop! 🎉

As finalists in the Community & Not for Profit category, it was a great chance to show them TRACTION in action and share more about our programs, our growing Toowoomba community and the impact we’re creating with young people.

A huge thank you to everyone in Toowoomba who continues to support TRACTION. We’re so proud to be part of this community and can’t wait for the awards on 11 September! 💙

A new look, with a story behind every detail.
 
Our new TRACTION shirts feature original artwork by First Nations artist and TRACTION mentor, Ambrose (Amiwarre).

Created for TRACTION, the artwork represents community, strength and story - while paying respect to Country and the people and communities within it.
 
At its centre is the TRACTION community: our Young People, mentors, staff, partners, volunteers, friends and families.

Surrounding it are stories of our ancestors, our past, our present and our future - recognising where we’ve come from, while reminding us that our past doesn’t have to define where we go next.
 
The river, waterholes and natural elements acknowledge Country, including Brisbane/Meanjin, where TRACTION HQ is based, and the many communities and places where we work, learn and connect.

The 2026 SOTS ride season is underway! We loved being at the Rider Induction Breakfast last week as riders kicked off training for the 3-day ride in October. 🚵‍♀️

This year marks FIVE YEARS of SOTS supporting TRACTION 🎉 and it’s a great moment to celebrate how close that relationship has grown, including one of our TRACTION Mentors who continues to coach the SOTS riders through training.

Funds raised go to support young people and families, through TRACTION and the other organisations SOTS backs. 💛 To the 2026 SOTS riders: thank you!

The 2026 Sisters of the Saddle ride season is underway! We loved being at the Rider Induction Breakfast last week as riders kicked off training for the 3-day ride in October. 🚵‍♀️

It was a pleasure to welcome Renee Coffey MP to our Murarrie workshop and introduce her to some of the incredible young people who take part in TRACTION!

Renee spent time seeing the program in action, meeting mentors and hearing from young people about their experiences. We also had the opportunity to talk about the importance of ensuring every young person ahs access to the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Thank you, Renee, for taking the tine to visit and for your interest in the work happening alongside young people in our community!
