Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) Workshop

Join Myhorizon and Redland City Council for a practical, interactive session delivered by the Queenslanders with Disability Network. Designed for people with disability, their carers, and support networks, this workshop will help you start developing a Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) plan.

· Learn about disaster risks in the Redland City, and where to go for information

· Learn about the four steps to increase your preparedness

· Start your own plan using the P-CEP Workbook

If there’s someone you’d like to involve in the conversation such as a family member, friend, or support worker, please feel free to bring them along and don't forget to register them. A free lunch will be provided.

Registration is essential so secure your spot now.

We are excited to announce our next intake for Certificate III in Individual Support!

With our current students already one week into their training journey, we are looking forward to welcoming a new group of learners ready to build rewarding careers in the support sector.

Start Date: 13th August 2026
Training Hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-2:30pm
Length: 18 weeks in the classroom + 120 hours of industry placement
Location: Myhorizon, Capalaba
Cost: Fully funded for eligible participants

We are excited to once again partner with the Queensland Chevrolet Car Club to provide Myhorizon participants with another fantastic community experience through Supercharged Sunday on 21st June.

This event has become a highlight on the calendar for many of our participants. The day offers our participants the opportunity to connect with the community, enjoy a shared passion for classic cars, and create meaningful social experiences in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

At Myhorizon, opportunities like these are an important part of building social connection, community participation, and memorable experiences for people we support.

A big thank you to the Chevrolet Car Club for continuing to create such a positive and enjoyable day for our participants year after year.
