Happy Birthday to... us! 🥳

This week we celebrated our 10th anniversary, marking a decade of providing vital, youth-friendly mental health and wellbeing support to thousands of young people and families across Quandamooka country.

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone-
💚 to the young people and their friends and family who have trusted in us to be a part of their wellbeing journey
💚 to all the schools, local First Nations Elders and other community service providers that work with us to provide the best possible outcomes for all young people irrespective of their ethnicity, faith, culture, national origin, ability, gender, sexual orientation, and identity.
💚 to our incredible volunteers who provide us with essential insights and guidance ensuring the services we are providing meet the needs of our community
💚 and to our team, past and present, whose passion and dedication for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people remains as strong as ever!

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunities we’ve had over the last 10 years allowing us to create such a welcoming, inclusive and safe space for young people, their friends and family, and look forward to honouring this for many more years to come.

It’s meeting other families who are just like yours.

Family Pride is a relaxed, joyful afternoon for LGBTQ+ parents, carers & kids to come together, connect, and celebrate community. No pressure, no expectations, just a space where families can show up exactly as they are and most importantly HAVE FUN!

Here’s a little of what’s waiting for you:

🏍️ D***s on Bikes opening the event at 2pm
👑 Queen performances and story time
🎶 DJ + dancing
🏰 Jumping castle
🍿 Free popcorn and snow cones
🎨 Face painting and balloons
📚 Book reading and signing
🕷️ Spider-Man popping in to play
☕ DHC Coffee and a free Byron Bay Cookie
🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 Community groups and activities for kids

It’s colourful, welcoming and full of that beautiful “we found our people” feeling.

Our centre will be closed from 6pm Tuesday 23rd December 2025 and will reopen at 8am on Monday 5th January 2026.
