π‘ Leaving hospital is a milestone, but it doesnβt always mean your loved one is ready to go home.
After surgery, illness or injury, many people need extra time to rebuild their strength, regain confidence and recover safely before returning to everyday life.
Thatβs why Tea-cup Cottage has partnered with Queensland Health to deliver our STEP/STAY Program, providing hospital transitional care that helps bridge the gap between hospital and home. π©΅
Our program supports people who need additional time, care and rehabilitation before theyβre ready to return home, offering:
β¨ Registered Nurse support
β¨ Rehabilitation and allied health coordination
β¨ Medication and wound management
β¨ Mobility and personal care assistance
β¨ Ongoing health monitoring
β¨ Nutritious meals prepared fresh by local chefs
β¨ A safe, welcoming place to recover at their own pace
Rather than rushing home before theyβre ready, residents can focus on healing and rebuilding independence, while families have peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported by an experienced care team.
From the peaceful gardens of The Bean, the natural surrounds of The Woodlands, to the comfort of The Oasis, each Tea-cup Cottage home has been thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, home-like environment where recovery can happen.
Because recovery doesnβt end when someone leaves hospital, itβs the next step towards feeling stronger, safer and more confident.
