It is with great sadness and loss that today we honour our dear friend and colleague Tom Fagernes, who passed following a catastrophic stroke.
Tom reached and supported more new dads and mums across Australia than anyone else we know.
For over ten years Tom helped new dads and mums and families. He hosted “Man with a Pram” perinatal community events and facilitated more dads antenatal classes and dads groups across the country than the rest of our team. He was passionate about using his gifts and bring his whole self to help new dads and share their perinatal journey. Over and above all this he led a life of passion for his family, serving them, laughing with them and doing his best to be the best husband, partner and dad.
Our team and organisation learned from Tom and the way he grew personally and professionally, always sharing his journey vulnerably so that others could benefit and grow stronger. He never stopped serving. He never stopped caring. He never stopped showing up.
In his passing the light of Tom’s example for us now shines brighter for the thousands of us who reflect on the moments Tom laughed with us, helped us, taught us and shared with us.
Our team and friends stand with Tom’s incredible family in this difficult time of loss.
Tom's funeral will be held on Tuesday 8th September at 1.30pm at McGlynn Hunt Funerals, 38-40 Madden Avenue Mildura, Victoria.
