Knowing you need to talk is one thing. Knowing who to talk to is another.

Despite 77% of men thinking that talking is an effective way to deal with problems, 38% avoid talking to others about how they feel to avoid appearing unmanly, and 43% wish they could talk more to others about personal problems.

Here's a solid guide to the options available to Australian men, whether you're in crisis, between appointments, or just need someone to listen.

Watch this space for photos and updates from LEGENDS NIGHT - BOWEN (CHARITY GALA EVENT) 2026.

What happens when you bring together two inspiring speakers, a committed local business leader, a passionate network of lived experience voices, and a community of empowered individuals?

You create something truly powerful.

Grateful to so many, Legends Night is more than an event — it’s a reminder of what’s possible when a community stands together, supports one another, and takes action.

“Su***de prevention is not the responsibility of one — it is the strength of many, coming together to create connection, hope, and change.” 🌻

Stay tuned — there’s more to come.

Today, June 10, marks Thank a First Responder Day.

Across the Whitsunday region, we recognise and thank our incredible first responders—our paramedics, police, firefighters, SES, marine rescue crews, and all emergency service workers—alongside the dedicated volunteers who stand beside them.

Every day, you show up for our community in moments of crisis, uncertainty, and need. Your courage, compassion, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

If you know someone in emergency services, take a moment today to check in. Ask “R U OK?” and remind them you’re there to listen and support—because helpers need help too.

Thank you for everything you do to keep our communities safe.
