Cannonvalley Pony Club is a family orientated club which encourages young people to ride and enjoy many sports connected with horses. This includes the care and responsibility of the horse and equipment, basic riding skills, dressage, jumping and mounted games.

This one is in advance... thanks to all the amazing volunteers who’ve signed up to help at our annual Bunnings BBQ this Sunday, 21st December. Whether you're volunteering, sent your apologies, or made a donation in lieu, we appreciate you!

Thankful Thursday 💫✨
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Coastal Brush for their generous donation of paint. Their contribution has allowed us to refresh our show jumping poles and add some vibrant colours to our new poles. The update makes our equipment look even better and ready for future events- and how schmick do they look!

If you're in need of any painting services, we highly recommend reaching out to Coastal Brush. Their support for local organisations like ours makes a big difference in the community.

Thankful Thursday 💫✨
We’d like to send a huge thank you to Kevin and Carolyn Falkenhagen for their generous refurbishment of our perpetual volunteer award. Their care and craftsmanship have given it a beautiful new life into the next decade, and we’re so grateful for their contribution to our club.

Their generosity didn’t stop there- earlier this year, we were also able to raffle off a stunning chopping board, handmade by the pair themselves. Their creativity extends far beyond chopping boards too, with their talents covering all kinds of custom furniture, including gorgeous dining tables.

If you’re looking for something special, Kevin and Carolyn can be contacted on 0418130528, and you can often find them at the local farmer’s markets and the Seaforth Mega Markets on the first Sunday of every month.

Thankful Thursday 💫✨
We recently put a call out for star pickets and paint, and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our community. A special thank you to former member Gail Mcaulay for her generous donation of star pickets. With Gail’s donation, and the hard work of our volunteers, we’ve been able to replace several unsafe sections of fencing, ensuring its safety and longevity for years to come.

Thank you, Gail, for making a positive impact on our space and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Please find our date claimers for the 2026 competitions!
⭐️ May 30 – May 31: Dressage & Combined Training
⭐️ July 25 – July 26: Showjumping & Jumping Equitation
⭐️ August 15 – August 16: Gymkhana

These dates have now been approved by PCQ for 2026! We’ve done our best to coordinate with surrounding calendars to avoid any clashes and really appreciate everyone’s support in helping keep the season running smoothly for all clubs.

🚨 Update: Play On! Sports Vouchers- Round 1 Allocated!

The first round of the Queensland Government’s Play On! Sports Voucher program has now been fully allocated- but don’t worry if you missed out this time around! Round 2 opens in January 2026, giving you another chance to grab a $200 voucher to help cover registration, membership, or participation fees with Cannonvalley Pony Club, an approved activity provider.

✅ Yes- vouchers can be used for 2026 memberships!

🗓️ Key Dates:
• Round 2 Opens: January 2026
• Round 1 Vouchers Must Be Used By: 19 June 2026

These go FAST every round- be ready when January rolls around!

CVPC members out and about, at the last comp for the year at our own beautiful home grounds!

Congrats to all the place getters and all involved, with our own members Lily, Sammi, Belinda, Mila P, Mila B and Georgie all supporting WEG and representing our club well! 🏆🏅

We're seeking your help!

CVPC has some exciting projects coming up and are looking to reduce costs as best we can (being a small community group) by searching in your backyard or shed first!

To repair broken fencing, we're looking for 180cm star pickets in fair or good condition. To refurbish our jump poles, we're looking for any exterior paint (small amounts are totally okay) and brushes or rollers. For these items, we can arrange collection or will accept drop offs, please contact us directly.

And finally, for our upcoming dressage arena project, we are seeking to begin stockpiling clean fill. For this we will accept clean fill on every Wednesday and Thursday between 8:30am and 4:00pm or other days by appointment- please contact 0467285913 if you can assist with this and we will do our best to accommodate! Location is at Turner Road, Riordanvale, with an easy turn around area.
