"I thought I was messed up for the rest of my life. But it's magic. It truly is magic."

After a psychosis diagnosis, Marco couldn't go to the shops without feeling severe anxiety. Today, thanks to the family-like support at Richmind WA, he’s gamble-free, thriving, and studying to become a support worker.

"I’m happy. I’m just... Marco. I’m myself again."

Finishing a mental health program brought Leanne relief, but the fear of what came next was paralysing. That changed when our HeART & Soul art community threw her a lifeline. Your tax-deductible donation before 30 June funds the safe, local spaces that make these transformations possible. Because it takes courage to support change.

A huge thank you to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for choosing to support us at the Young Chartered Accountants Annual Charity Quiz Night - raising just under $10,000!

It was a fantastic opportunity to share the work Richmind WA does with a room full of passionate professionals, while our team put their trivia knowledge to the test.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped to make the night such a success, and to event sponsors Equinox Restructuring & Insolvency and Emploi Recruitment for helping make the evening possible.

Thank you for backing better mental health outcomes in our community.

A few years ago, Abbi was homeless, facing severe addiction, and living with intense paranoia on the streets. Look at her today. Abbi has her own home, multiple jobs, and a beautiful support network. "I'm the best version of myself I've ever been," she says. Momentum Queens Park never gave up on her.

It takes courage to support change.

"Mental health affects every workplace, every family, and every community."

As we head into a new week, we’re incredibly proud to share this message from local Perth presenter, Alexander Circosta, backing Richmind WA’s EOFY Appeal.

Alexander knows real recovery requires safe, local spaces where people feel truly seen and valued.

It takes courage to support change.

"I don't have to put on a front anymore. I feel safe." At 15, Kayle was trapped in addiction and juvenile detention. At 17, he arrived at Momentum Queens Park. Real, consistent support changed everything. Today, Kayle is celebrating 30 days of sobriety, training for local footy, and rebuilding family bonds. It takes courage to support change.

Clutching her handwritten notes, Leanne stood up to speak to a crowded art exhibition. Her hands shook, but she pushed through. Before finding our HeART & Soul community, she was terrified of the future. Today, she’s an artist in residence. As Leanne says: "It allows our hearts and souls to sparkle for a bit." It takes courage to support change.

Today is National Sorry Day in Australia. And today at Richmind WA, we acknowledge the strength, resilience and lived experiences of Stolen Generations survivors and their families.

Today is a time to reflect on our history and how it continues to profoundly impact the mental health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in Australia. We recognise their pain, unresolved grief and intergenerational trauma and we are committed to supporting their healing.

This year’s theme, ‘From Sorry to Action’, calls on all of us to move beyond acknowledgement and towards meaningful, lasting change.

So, we will continue to walk alongside our Aboriginal community and create culturally safe spaces where Aboriginal people and their families feel understood, valued, heard and supported. We recognise the deep cultural connections, histories and strengths of the First Nations peoples and ensure our services are responsive to their unique needs.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and accepted for who they are.

Today, Richmind WA recognises IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia) and the importance of creating communities where people feel included and supported.

Earlier this week, we were proud to host a special event in Perth that brought together staff and consumers to connect, share and support one another. We’re also looking forward to continuing these conversations at our South West event on Tuesday.

At Richmind WA, we know that feeling accepted and connected can make a big difference to a person’s mental health and wellbeing.

Today is a reminder that kindness, understanding and belonging matter every day.
