FearLess is a national charity working with people living with post traumatic stress and the families who love them.

Our community comes from every walk of life. Veterans. First responders. Survivors of domestic violence and childhood trauma. People who have been through things they never asked for, and families trying to understand and support someone they love.

If that is your world, you are welcome here.

PTSD fatigue is real and it is often invisible to the people around you.

When the nervous system is running on high alert day after day, exhaustion follows. Not just tiredness. A bone-deep depletion that sleep does not always fix.

A few things that can help: gentle movement, a consistent sleep routine, mindfulness, and building connection with people who actually understand.

You are not being dramatic. You are carrying something heavy.

Can yoga actually rewire the brain after trauma?

The science says yes. Research into neuroplasticity shows that trauma-informed yoga can support nervous system regulation, activate the vagus nerve, and help create new neural pathways over time.

It is not a replacement for therapy. But it is a genuinely evidence-backed complement to it.

Quality sleep plays a vital role in mental health and recovery.

It’s during rest that the brain processes experiences, restores balance and strengthens emotional resilience.
Sleep is more than hours on a clock — it’s the foundation for healing, clarity and calm.

Creating a consistent bedtime routine and a space that feels restful can make a real difference in mood, focus and stress levels.

Taking small steps toward better sleep is a meaningful part of self-care and recovery.

Digital wellbeing is increasingly recognised as a meaningful factor in mental health.

Practical steps worth considering. Establishing wind-down rituals that do not involve screens. Creating boundaries around phones at meals and in the bedroom. Gradually reducing screen time rather than attempting to quit all at once.

Small, consistent changes to how we engage with technology can have a real impact on sleep, mood, and overall mental health.

Men's Health Week starts next week and it is a good reminder to check in on the men in your life.

Not just physically. Mental health, emotional wellbeing, whether they are actually doing okay beneath the surface.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is ask the question and mean it. How are you really going?

Supporting someone else takes something out of you too.

If you are a carer or family member who has been holding things together for a long time, it is okay to acknowledge when the load is getting heavy. Recognising that early, before it becomes burnout, is not weakness. It is wisdom.

Your GP is a good first point of contact. They can point you toward community support and connect you with the right people. You cannot pour from an empty cup.

Emotional growth often begins when we learn to hold space for more than one truth at a time. People are rarely all good or all bad. We’re complex, shaped by experiences, patterns, and the circumstances we’ve lived through.

It’s possible to see the good in someone and still recognise when their behaviour isn’t safe or healthy. Understanding a person’s story doesn’t mean accepting harm. Growth comes from learning to separate who someone is from what they do, and trusting yourself to set boundaries without anger or judgment.

Boundaries are not rejection, they’re an act of care. They help us stay connected with honesty and build trust through mutual respect. Sharing your limits allows others to see you clearly and creates space for relationships built on safety and understanding.

The signals are clear. What comes next is up to us.

World Environment Day 2026 is a global call to act on climate, and at FearLess we know that a healthier planet and healthier people are deeply connected. Time in nature supports recovery. Green spaces reduce stress. The world we protect is the world we heal in.
