This EoFY, power the future of local voices!

In 2024, MARION supported ACT writer Callie Doyle-Scott to undertake a mentorship with award-winning writer Isobelle Carmody. This mentorship provided much-needed financial and creative support, and took Callie's manuscript, Soup for the Moon, to the next level.

This EOFY, we're asking you to help us raise $5,000 to fund two more mentorships for breakthrough writers just like Callie. Throughout June, your donation will go directly to transformative mentorship opportunities for local voices at a crucial stage in their writing career.

All donations, big or small, make a difference. All donations above $2 are tax deductible.

Donate now and until 30 June! https://marion.ink/momentum

Welcoming Our New Patrons: A Gathering of Members and Friends
Tuesday 16 June, 6-8pm
Smith's Alternative, Canberra

We're delighted to invite our community to a special gathering to celebrate the appointment of our new Patrons, Jennifer Kemarre Martiniello OAM and Craig Cormick OAM. Both Martiniello and Cormick have made outstanding contributions to writing, the arts and cultural life, and have deep and longstanding connections to our community. We are honoured to welcome them as Patrons of MARION and look forward to marking this occasion together.

The evening will be an opportunity to come together, hear from our new Patrons and connect with fellow members and friends. We'll also reflect on MARION's journey, the community that has shaped it and the opportunities ahead. The gathering will be informal, conversational and celebratory.

Announcing: MOMENTUM!

MARION has been advocating for writers across the ACT and surrounding regions since 1995. In 2026, we remain dedicated to addressing financial barriers faced by writers.

In 2024, we were proud to present the MARION Fellowship Award to emerging Canberra-based writer Callie Doyle-Scott. Callie's mentorship with award-winning writer Isobelle Carmody came at a critical point in her career and provided much-needed financial and creative support to take her manuscript, Soup for the Moon, to the next level.

Now, we need your help to sponsor a further two mentorships for breakthrough ACT writers like Callie. Throughout June, your donation will go directly to transformative mentorship opportunities for local voices at a crucial stage in the development of their writing career.

With your help, we aim to raise $5,000 before 30 June to fund mentorships for two ACT writers.

Power the future of local voices – sponsor a mentorship for a breakthrough ACT writer.

All donations, big or small, make a difference. All donations above $2 are tax deductible. Donate now!
