As we speak, the federal government is trying to force through an undemocratic hate speech bill.

This is supposedly to combat anti-semitism and hate speech, but in practice the bill greatly expands police powers, undermines our constitutional right to political communication, and empowers the government to silence protesters speaking out against the Genocide in Gaza.

TJC stands with the in denouncing this overstep, and we call on our elected officials to vote against this poorly considered bill.

Help launch Rainbow Mob 🌈! Shawnah, aka Mamma MadB, has been working extremely hard to set up a new charitable community organisation, Rainbow Mob. Rainbow Mob is so-called Australia’s first peer support service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SBLGBTIQA+ youth. It's going to play a vital role providing care, shelter, support, creative outlets, education and mentoring opportunities for some of our most marginalised youth.

These kids and young people deserve a chance to thrive and live their best lives, and Shawnah and the team at Rainbow Mob have worked incredibly hard to get everything ready for launch and provide this service for our community.

They need just a little extra funding to finish the process of incorporating the organisation. Please dig deep and donate today. 🌈

Trans Day of Remembrance is an annual event to remember all those from our community murdered by transphobic violence, or pushed to su***de (every trans su***de is a murder by those in power).

Join us this Thursday 20 November 2025 at 7:00pm for a candle light vigil, speeches and an opportunity to grieve, reflect and remember our friends and family who were taken too soon.

πŸ•―οΈBYO candles and letters to those who have passed, you are, of course, welcome to share with us at the vigil 🩡 this will be a safe space to be held by community.

This event will be taking place on the stolen lands of the Ngunnawal Ngambri people. We also recognise and mourn all lives lost at the hands of this patriarchal, cis, yt, capitalist system. πŸ–€ always was, always will be.
