National Reconciliation Week (27 May-3 June), is a chance for Canberrans to come together, learn and take steps toward a fair and inclusive future.

The theme for NRW 2026 is 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙄𝙣, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day, so we encourage you to reflect on what you can do as an individual or organisation to make further progress towards reconciliation.

CHN is committed to driving reconciliation through our commissioning processes, in-practice support, resources and education for primary care providers to assist with the delivery of culturally appropriate services, and improving health outcomes for First Nations people.

📢 New tender opportunity

CHN, as the ACT's PHN, is seeking to commission a consultant to develop the AIM Plan part of the ACT Mental Health and Su***de Prevention Regional Plan (the Regional Plan). 🩺 Happy !

Today we are proud to shine a spotlight on Dr Leonie Harcourt, CHN's Primary Care Integration GP Advisor.

Dr Harcourt works with our Events Team to create free education events for GPs and other primary health care providers in the ACT. Aligned with this year’s theme, 'Compassionate Care in a Digital World', she champions a balanced approach - embracing innovation, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and staying at the forefront of evidence-based care to help every individual achieve their best possible health.

From contraception and pre-conception, through pregnancy, birth, childhood and adolescence, and into adulthood, older age and beyond, Dr Harcourt finds it a privilege to care for the whole person, when you are unwell and when you are well. "We manage acute illness in the context of the bigger picture. We don’t just react—we anticipate, prevent and guide," she said.

🌿 Thank you Dr Leonie, and all GPs, for listening, understanding and supporting families every day and in every stage of their lives.
