Some highlights from our Lunch is Served event earlier this month, bringing veterans and their families together in Darwin to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by Madame Za at Rydges Palmerston.

The event also marked the conclusion of The Grand Lodge of Freemasons SA & NT's grant supporting Soldier On’s aquafitness activities. A big thank you to Freemasons SA/NT for supporting opportunities for connection and wellbeing within the veteran community. 💙

At Asia Pacific Aerospace, understanding transition starts with lived experience.

General Manager Tony Cotroneo and Business Manager Peter Faunt both bring decades of Defence and aviation experience to their leadership roles at Asia Pacific Aerospace (APAERO).

Today, veterans make up around 15 per cent of APAERO’s workforce, with training, professional development and a supportive workplace helping former Defence personnel build meaningful civilian careers.

Through its partnership with Soldier On, APAERO continues to support veterans navigating life beyond service, recognising the important role employment can play in a successful transition.

The first members of the Soldier On team have rolled up their sleeves for the 2026 Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Defence Blood Drive, donating blood to help save lives!

A piece of Australian Military history, created to honour those who served.

On the 25th anniversary of Australia’s service in Afghanistan, Soldier On is proud to present this original oil painting by award-winning Australian artist, Joe Zapp Artist, generously donated in support of our 2026 Remembrance Day Appeal.

Created to commemorate Australian service during the Afghanistan War, the artwork honours the more than 39,000 Australian Defence personnel who served between 2001 and 2021.

With a painting career spanning more than 30 years, Melbourne-based artist Joe Zapp is renowned for capturing raw emotion and striking detail. Through his generous donation, this powerful artwork offers a lasting way to remember those who served and honour their stories.

You can now bid for the opportunity to own this one-of-a-kind piece of Australian art while helping Soldier On support veterans, serving personnel and Defence families.

A great day connecting with the community at Government House Open Day!

Canberra-based PEO Sarah and volunteer Glenn were proud to represent Soldier On at the event, which welcomed 2,500 visitors.

Guests had the opportunity to explore the grounds, gardens and historic rooms of Government House, while celebrating the 45 organisations supported by the Governor-General’s patronage, including Soldier On.

A fantastic morning representing Soldier On at HMAS Stirling’s annual Walk-to-Work Day recently.

More than 2,000 Navy personnel and their families came together for an event centred on physical wellbeing, connection and camaraderie. Bringing together people from across the base, the day celebrated the contribution of the Navy community and the importance of fostering a healthy, resilient workforce.

Thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by to say hello. It was great to see the HMAS Stirling community come together.
