Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Palestine Solidarity Mini-Fete in Canberra recently! Thank you as well to the countless volunteers who made this event possible. It was wonderful to see so much pro-Palestinian solidarity in our community. 🇵🇸

One week after the famous march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, thousands of Canberrans marched against the starvation and mass killing in Gaza, joining a nationwide wave of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Among six powerful speakers was our own Tamara Kayali Browne, who challenged Australia’s ongoing trade and political ties with Israel and called for urgent change. The Amnesty contingent, marching behind an old fire engine draped with a bold “NO MORE GENOCIDE” banner, braved winter winds across Lake Burley Griffin. Inspired by the huge Sydney march the week before, we’re committed to keeping up the pressure for meaningful action from the Australian government.
