🎾 CHH is back where it all started — right now!
Melba Tennis Club’s Community Fun Day is on now until 1:30pm, and Canberra Heavy Hitters is here with a little 10 Years of CHH nostalgia table.

Come down for:
🔸 CHH photos from 10 years and 83 events
🔸 Champion history, prize money stats, and event records
🔸 The Golden Sledgehammers and CHH Champions Trophy
🔸 Retro CHH shirts and 2016 stubbie holders
🔸 A giant novelty cheque for deeply fraudulent fake-prize-money photos

There’s also a BBQ, raffle, bubble tea, ice cream, coffee, jumping castle, face painting, and family-friendly tennis activities.

Basically: tennis, food, sugar, kids running around, adults pretending they’re only here “for the kids”, and me standing near a table full of CHH history wondering how this all happened.

The Heavy Hitters Champions Trophy is out.
The Golden Sledgehammers are ready.
The prize money cheques are lined up.
And $1,000 is on the table for two of Canberra’s rising young guns. 🎾🏆💰

Tonight, history gets made in the 2026 Canberra Heavy Hitters Summer League Division 1 Premier League Final:

For the first time ever, we have an all-juniors Division 1 Final — two high-performance juniors earning their place in the biggest match of the season.

Expect high-quality tennis, big-match nerves, and some seriously good shotmaking.

🎾 CHH Autumn League 2026 is officially LIVE 🍁

And with 95 players registered, we’ve just set an all-time CHH record.

That means over the next few months there’ll be up to 418 competitive CHH singles matches happening across Canberra.

That is a lot of tennis.
A lot of sore legs.
A lot of “I’m fine” from people who are clearly not fine.

💰 This season also has over $2,000 in prize money on the line.

And when you zoom out a bit, it’s pretty wild:
Over 10 years of CHH, we’re now nudging towards $50,000 paid out to hundreds of Heavy Hitters across Canberra.

Not bad for a flexible singles league that started as a slightly disruptive idea and somehow kept growing - and now is a major drawcard for High Performance players.

Big thanks to everyone who has played, referred mates, helped build the community, and kept this thing rolling over the past decade.

🎾 84 players. That’s eighty-four Canberra tennis tragics locked in across three divisions, ready for 7 weeks of competitive singles through the heart of summer.

Another record Summer League for Canberra Heavy Hitters smashing 71 players in 2025 Summer.

🤑 $2,070 in prize money is on the line, pushing CHH’s total payouts over $40,000 returned directly to Canberra players over the past 10 years.

☀️ Summer 2026 Breakdown (League ###VI):
🔹 Division 1 – 36 players → 15-player finals
🔹 Division 2 – 34 players → 15-player finals
🔹 Division 3 – 14 players → 12-player finals

🔎 Clubs, Juniors & Real Match Play
CHH is proudly Canberra-wide. Players move between 22 clubs, pay guest fees back into clubs, and return to club coaches with real match experience. It's a win win for Canberra tennis.

High-Performance Juniors continue to be integrated alongside adults, with plenty of development opportunities, clear expectations, structure, and a strong emphasis on respect and behaviour on court.
Big thanks to all the Coaches out there who recommend their Juniors play with us.
