So we've had quite a few games of Ma.K (Maschinen Krieger) in the last few weeks at the Canberra Games Society, and I've been slack in putting up photos due to the distractions of work and life. 🙂 There's several of us here now with armies, both good guys and terrorists.
Here's a few pics from the games.

G'day all,

Just a quick update in case you've not already worked it out yet, but the dates for CANCON 2027 are:

Setup day - Friday 22nd Jan
Day one - Saturday 23rd Jan
Day two - Sunday 24th Jan
Day three - Monday 25th Jan

Please note, the public holiday in 2027 is Tuesday the 26th Jan.

Other planning for CANCON is progressing.

We're in the middle of obtaining quotes and contracts so hope to be able to start publishing our prices for 2027 in a few weeks time, but be prepared and forewarned.

We have been advised by our suppliers that some of costs to host CANCON are going to be rising, which means unfortunately there will be price rises for traders and tournaments.

Canberra Games Society is a not for profit organisation and our charter is to foster the gaming hobby in the community, so we will only raise the prices by the minimum necessary, but sadly it is necessary.

Anyway, we hope you're all healthy and happy and looking out for each other so we can see you all at CANCON 2027!

DICE ON!

To help us see the impact Cancon has on the ACT economy, as well as learning what we did good and less good, here is the link to the annual Post event survey.

Hey all,

Steve, the President of CGS here. A new friend to CGS is Peter Shum. Peter is a friend of mine from the ACT Scale Model Society where he's the Vice President and also in charge of the audio-visual side of the club. (Of note, the ACTSMS holds the largest scale model show in Australia in November each year! Not bad for the little ACT, holding the two biggest shows of their genera!)

As one of the first steps in fostering some better cooperation between our clubs and in supporting the hobbies, Peter volunteered his time to do some video and photography across CACCON.

Here are the links to the result of his efforts, and we're really happy, he's done a great job. So sit back and relax while you relive the awesome fun and memories of CANCON in your own airconditioned comfort!
