Starting this Sunday 14th June () and continuing on for the next few weeks, Hawker Community Landcare will be continuing its planting of native species around the Ambalindum Playground. The selected plants have been chosen because they reflect the floristic biodiversity of the Canberra region and are drought hardy and frost tolerant, while still being beautiful and attracting small birds, lizards and beneficial insects.

Everyone is welcome to come along and help plant. There will also be tea and coffee and snacks. The activity will go for an hour each Sunday and until all the plants are in.

Hawker Community Landcare is going NUTS this month with planting projects.

We are hosting a planting event at the Community Garden opp Hawker Shops,
AND....
Another event at the Ambalindum Playground where we will be completing the native garden around the swings.

Hawker Community Gardens will be hosting their annual Christmas in July markets at the Hawker shops, date TBC.
