A day rich in connection and support, the 2024 Sarcoma Symposium brought together the sarcoma community, offering a unique platform for researchers, healthcare professionals, patients, survivors, their families, and caregivers. It was an opportunity to share insights, enhance understanding, and strengthen networking and support for all those impacted by sarcoma.

Generously hosted for the second year by , The Institute of Academic Surgery RPA, and , this event was the idea of Dr Teresa Anderson, former CEO SLHD.

The half day event provided a comprehensive update on progress made over the past year. Attendees received valuable information on support services, research advancements, and networked within a compassionate community.

Special thanks to Sophie Hogan, Dr Richard Boyle, Dr Dan Franks, Dr Maurice Guzman, Matt Halpin, Meghan Cue Floresca, and Anja Sauer, whose dedication to making a difference— was truly moving.

Thanks must go to the incredible lineup of speakers, including those who traveled from Brisbane, Melbourne, and Western Australia to be part of the event.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who attended, both online and in person, particularly those facing tremendous personal challenges due to sarcoma. Your presence made this event possible.
