A six day turnaround to test the Cats resolve before their bye, and it doesn’t get much tougher in 2026. A trip to Perth to play the top of the ladder Dockers who are fresh off the bye.

One change to the squad from last Friday night’s white-out of the Suns. Bazlenka is out with illness and is being replaced by Jack Bowes.

On top of this being a top 4 clash, this week we have Lawson Humphries and Shaun Mannagh both playing their 50th game, and Tanner Bruhn playing his 50th game in Hoops.

If that’s not enough, this will be Blitz’s 307th match. With all of his matches being under Chris Scott, this is the new AFL/VFL record for games by a player under the one coach.

As it’s a Thursday clash we will not be having a viewing. Stay home, stay warm, and stay cheering on the Cats as they look to head into the bye with a win in another record setting clash.

We will be taking a trip to the Cats vs Giants match in Sydney on the 11th of July. We have a limited number of spots available on a Cats supporter bus, and also in the Guard of Honour.

Please see newsletter for more details.

This is one of our two remaining confirmed Saturday clashes and we will be holding a viewing in Canberra for those who don’t make the trip to Sydney.

We also have exciting news regarding our match against Essendon on Saturday the 8th of August. Pencil it in your diaries to join us. Details will be released closer to time, so stay tuned to the page and newsletter

Team list Thursday is upon us again and we have two changes for tomorrow’s White Out clash against the Suns.

After missing last week due to concussion protocols, Lawson Humphries comes back into the side to replace Tom Stewart who is out due to concussion protocol.

The other change is that Gryan Miers is out managed, and Mitch Edwards returned after being managed last week.

We know of at least two members who will be down at the match and waving their Geelong Cats provided towels and cheering. For those in Canberra we will be having a viewing in the reception lounge area near the bistro at Woden CSCC and would love as many of our fellow Cats fans to join us in cheering the Cats on*

*Canberra Cats will not be providing towels

A Thursday night clash to start the long weekend means that we have to do Team list Wednesday instead. It was lucky three weeks ago and hopefully again this week - we need the boost after last Friday.

Speaking of the number 3, that’s the number of changes to the squad this week. Unfortunately Lawson Humphries is injured and is a big out. Joining him as the unlucky players to miss out are the omitted Brad Close and the managed Mitch Edwards.

Coming in are some good ins. We welcome back Jack Martin (badly missed last week) and Oli Wiltshire for his first match since the Dogs. Our final change is a milestone one. Jack Bowes comes back into the side and will play his 150th AFL match.

It’s getting cold out and so what could be better than staying home, staying warm, and cheering on the Cats as they look to put last Friday behind them and return to the winner’s circle.

After being a late out on gameday, last week Tanner Bruhn returns to the side in place of Jack Martin who is being managed.

As this isn’t a Saturday or Sunday match we will not be having a viewing. Stay home, put the feet up, and cheer along as the Cats look to continue their run in this match against an improved Carlton.

Our usual Thursday post now, and some of our older members and followers may remember the famous Australian advertising line “When you’re onto a good thing, stick to it”. Chris Scott must certainly remember the line as we head into Saturday’s clash with the same side that accounted for the Lions last Thursday.

We suppose that given that this is still Sir Doug Nicholls round, that an unchanged team makes sense.

There’s few more daunting challenges this year than the Swans and this promises to be another cracker Kardinia clash between these two sides.

Come and join us at Woden CSCC this Saturday afternoon and evening as we cheer on the Cats. As mentioned in the newsletter email we’re having pizzas at halftime (perfect timing for light dinner), and this is one of our few remaining confirmed viewings for the men this year and so definitely worth coming down.

First things first and the all important AFLW draw is out. What a way to start - a clash with the back to back premiers.

There’s some great clashes following that as well, and we will aim to have some viewings along the way. We will keep you updated with team lists and viewing info along the way through the season, and reckon that the action is something to stayed glued to as much of the action as possible.

If only the AFL could have had our ladies take on the Giants in Manuka. Maybe next year…….

We’ve been a bit busy with other matters this week - and today especially - so have been a bit quiet but there’s a bit to share from today. We apologise for the quick multitude of posts that are incoming.

A five day turnaround from our victory over the Pies sees us having to do this share early. Sir Doug Nicholls round kicks off tomorrow night when we travel to Brisbane to face the Lions for the first time since the grand final.

The short break sees four changes this week to help with player management - and what changes they are!

Jack (Henry) is back to give the backline a boost and give Kolo a spell. Worps (managed) and Jack Bowes (omitted) are out while Gryan and Blitz are back.

Rounding out the changes, Rhys Stanley is managed out and the young (and greatly improving) young ruck Mitch Edwards slots straight back in. It will be a tough clash, and the mighty Cats will need to be at the top of their game.

As it’s a Thursday clash, we will not be having a viewing at CSCC. Stay home, stay warm, and stay tuned and cheering.

Thursday night has come around again and that means team list time again.

Chris Scott has only made one change to the side that took care of North last week. Mitch Edwards gets a rest after 7 straight weeks of what will be good learning for a young ruck, and in his place Rhys Stanley makes his first AFL appearance for 2026.

Both sides this Saturday have players in a milestone match and so there’s a fair bit to play for. Tom Stewart plays his 200th AFL match, while Collingwood have Pendlebury equaling Boomer Harvey’s record of 432 games played.

Come and join us downstairs at Woden CSCC this Saturday night as we cheer on the Cats as they look to give Stew a win in his milestone while making sure that the curse of game 432 (no player has ever won their 432nd AFL clash) stays unbroken for a while longer yet.
