last week Owen had his last day with us after 9 amazing weeks of volunteering through VolunteeringACT: Inclusive Volunteering Program's Pilot Project. This program connects senior students with real work experience to build skills for future employment, and we’ve been so lucky to have Owen as part of our crew!

He brought with him so much energy, humour, and humility. We’re feeling both grateful and a little sad to see him go, but so proud of everything he’s achieved during his time with us. Wishing you the very best for whatever comes next, Owen.

We hope to see you back again soon! 😊

Drop by the UCX Food Pantry this week to pick up your special holiday hamper before we wrap up for the year.

Please note hampers are limited and only available until sold out. Bring your valid UCX Membership card to collect and shop the pantry as normal.

Final operating hours of 2025 🍏

We have had such a wonderful time meeting everyone over the year and providing groceries to a record number of students.

The UCX Food Pantry will be closed this Wednesday 26 November, but will otherwise operate as normal until Thursday 4 December. We will be reopening in the New Year in February.

We've had a blast this semester meeting everyone at our Tuesday Free Brekkies! With exams wrapping up this week, tomorrow 4 November will be our final free brekkie of 2025.

Sustainability Update! 🚨♻️

From Week 6 (Tuesday 2 September), we will no longer be providing containers for our dry goods to help reduce our waste and reflect our sustainability goals.

The UCX Food Pantry will be offering a limited number of repurposed jars as an alternative, but encourage students to bring containers of their own in support of this Initiative.
