We would like to Welcome - Wildlife Reimagined!

With a mission to educate, inspire and reconnect people with nature! 🌿🌏 There will be 2 marquee displays at the festival featuring The Ultimate Wildlife Adventure incl. 8 Natural al displays, Reptiles and invertebrates. There will also be wildlife shows, with different animals to what's on display. Plus Roving animals 🙉🕷️🐍 Check out their website for more details. Youth Homelessness Matters Day is 2 weeks away!
Wednesday April 15 is the national day to raise awareness about youth homelessness to ensure the issues and realities of young people experiencing and at risk of homelessness remain high on the public agenda.
Every year 43,000 children and young people present alone to services seeking help. This Youth Homelessness Matters Day, we are calling for a safe place for every young Australian.

To support YHMD we’re asking that you:
EDUCATE – by sharing and amplifying YHMD messaging.
ACTIVATE – by hosting and attending YHMD events. If you’re running an event register it with us so we can promote it for you. You can also order merchandise to support your event
DONATE – to youth homelessness services
ADVOCATE – to end youth homelessness by contacting your local member of parliament

By coming together we can all play a part in ending child and youth homelessness.

The work we do is varied and often involves multiple interactions and strategies. In all cases, assisting to positively change their lives by connecting them with specialist services, for example legal advice, healthcare, rehabilitation, counselling, housing, education, employment and financial assistance.

Did you know ...
Roughly half of all youth experiencing homelessness live in ‘severely’ crowded dwellings (52.0 per cent males and 49.1 per cent females)

Just under half (48%) of young people presenting alone at Specialist Homelessness Services in 2021-22 had a current mental health issue.

We celebrate more than just Xav’s victories on the field - we celebrate acts of kindness that lift up the community. Through Xav”s commitment and generous heart, he has used his platform to help us shine a light on youth homelessness and to champion a cause that impact real lives every day 🙌

Who all the young people of Raw Potential know so well because they work alongside Raw Potential everyday ! To the youth Engagement team, Thankyou for being our hero’s, particularly Nicky who is often the one moving, and picking up furniture when ever we need him to jump in, but to the whole YET Team thanks for an amazing year of supports ! Can’t wait to do it all again with you in 2026 🥰

Ending 2025 with 5 days of graditude ❤️day 2:
Massive shout out to our friends at Access Recognised Training Australia - RTO 88203who for the last amazing consecutive four years have supported us in providing fee-free RSA, RCG and Food Safety training to our young people! Seeing first-hand how these opportunities build confidence, skills and real pathways into work is something the team at access recocnised training are genuinely proud of.

A big thank you to Mark Field who comes to personally tailor and deliver these trainings, building on our young peoples employment capacity.

Raw Potential Youth provides vital, hands-on support to some of Canberra’s most vulnerable youth, helping to build stability, independence and a brighter future, we can not do this without the wonderful support of our partners such as this wonderful team at Access Recognised Training 🤗
