“Women and girls from historically marginalized groups must be supported to participate in all levels of decisions-making in public and political life.”

Powerful statements - backed by evidence - from United Nations Human Rights Council.

We’re here for it 🙌🔥

A ground-breaking set of commitments seeks to ensure that the spaces, both in person and virtual, where important decisions take place are fully accessible to be inclusive for all women with disabilities.

“…she had lots of tools that supported her to make clinical decisions that aligned to protocols and followed best practice. She felt confident and decisive when approaching complex medical problems, and had demonstrated great results for her community.

However, when it came to leadership and high-stakes personal decisions, she felt that enhancing her decision making skills would support her to be more effective and get better performance outcomes.”

Find out how the WiSDM training program supported Carla to expand her leadership and impact!

We’re taking expressions of interest for the next program now.

Carla is a community health professional servicing a remote aboriginal community. She faced challenges in decision making that were holding her back from achieving personal and professional goals. However, her life took ...

Did you know 40 per cent of women want more involvement in decision making?

That is almost half the female workforce in any organisation, at any point in time.

What would it mean for women in your team to feel their contribution to decision making was not only valued, but sought after and having a real impact on strategic outcomes?

How can you support them - or you - to have greater impact and expand their leadership?

The WiSDM training program works with women to build their skills and confidence to influence and lead decision making.

Our participants have gone on to transform the operational and strategic direction of their teams through effective decision making.

The program includes:
> A dedicated expert Decision Trainer and Coach
> Personalised Decision Making Style and Approach Assessment
> 3 x one-on-one coaching sessions (virtual)
> 3 x group training sessions (virtual)
> 8 x video tutorials
> 10 x practical worksheets and tools
> Opportunities to practice your techniques in a safe environment
> Plan and implement a real-life decision to impact an area of your work or personal life.

We are now taking Expressions of Interest for the program and invite inquiries from interested women and leaders who support women in their teams.

Are you ready to make better decisions, build your confidence to lead, and manage bias (yours and other people's!) in 2023?

Our 12 week coaching program has been designed and tested to meet the needs of women who are emerging as leaders and taking on greater responsibilities for decision making.

It is most suited to women that:
• Have (or are expecting to take on) decision making responsibilities in their team,
• Aspire to greater leadership in decision making, or
• Provide decision making support to more senior leaders.

Is this you? Or a woman in your team? Tag and share with your colleagues and network so that a woman you know can build her decision making skills.

Check out the full brochure with program outline and inclusions.

Early bird rates available until 2 December. Program onboarding 7 February 2023 with coaching commencing 14 February.

Send us a message or email for more details, including group discounts.

We are thrilled with the attendance and discussion at last night's event in the ACT Legislative Assembly.

Here are some takeaways from our founder Belinda Newham:

> The panelists talking about the WAY they make decisions opened up a whole new access to understanding our own approaches and how we can impact them

> We are getting better at diversity in decision making and politics, but it is still lumpy and there is much more to be done

> All women on the panel noted having had false assumptions made about them in the past, and that impacting how others perceived their abilities and participation in decision making (don't be "judgy-judgy")

> Some common themes across all panelists were: consulting widely in their decision making, needing to know when it is time to 'make a call', and being clear on the values that underpin their decisions

We are very grateful for the open and honest contributions of our panel members:

> Deputy Chief Minister Yvette Berry
> Leader of the ACT Liberals Elizabeth Lee MLA
> ACT Greens member Jo Clay MLA - Member for Ginninderra

We also appreciate the support of Nicole Lawder MLA, Shadow Minister for Women, and her office in suggesting and hosting the event.

Please comment below and let us know what you enjoyed, and your takeaways!
