All jokes aside, no matter if you are into learning career development, making new connections, or just simply wanting to have fun, WOSOC got something for everyone! Let’s take a step back and rewind the highlights our WOSOC in 2025
1) Speed friending
Eager to make new friends on campus? WOSOC got your back! Our Speed Friending event, hosted with collaborations with Sydney Marketing Society and 180 Degrees Consulting, were the place to be for friendships to form. We had a great time making new bonds, creating memories, and of course, sharing “teas: with each other. What other ways are better for bonding, right?
2) Trivia night
What happens when the electrifying energy of trivia masters meet the vibrant energy of WOSOC? You get a night of endless laughs with a side of fun knowledge with Trivia Night! The competitive spirit and the energetic discussions were not to be missed.
3) From uni to you
More interested in professional development? WOSOC got just the thing for you! With a curated line of panelists from the faculty and learning hub, “From uni to you” event ensured every participant had the opportunity to to maximize their campus experience and developed a solid professional network.
4) Careers in industrial relations: Corporate Canapes
And last but not least, we wrapped up the year with our flagship panel event, Corporate Canapes. With panelists coming from prestigious companies like Deloitte, KPMG, IBM, and many more, the event was full of invaluable insights on hiring practices, mastering your resume, and ways to build your personal branding that stands out. The night was filled with curiosity and a genuine drive for self-improvement. Over 60 WOSOC members walked out that day, feeling more empowered, more informed, and more connected than ever.
