A few days ago we got a call about a koala in Appin chased up a tree on a property by a dog at no time did the dog get the koalas the member of public rang
Ricardo for assistance Ricardo gave advice eg lock up dogs till koala moves on as they were less then 100 mtrs from bush and koala was healthy with no injuries.

It goes to show not all wildlife have to come into care .

Taking a healthy koala puts it out of its territory for 2 weeks or more.

When a koala is released back into its home range after being in care for that long in care can cause injuries or even death from fighting back for its territory.

Visual checks are made first from trained Wildlife rescuers before any rescue as the new national Park Laws are anyone koala touched is class as a Rescue and it must come with the care .

Visual checks and monitoring

Signs of injuries, wounds, dog saliva. Climbing issues, ect.

Thank you all involved

Team work makes dream work

Another stuff up by Transport for NSW

They advised us recently that they were putting in red barriers to stop Koala getting on the road and once again it’s been poorly done as a female koala with a Joey on her back has managed to get in and onto the road and in major danger of getting hit injured or even killed. Lucky for beautiful people stopping the traffic and helping these two koalas back off the road and back to the bush safety. What the hell is transport New South Wales doing?

Are they deliberately trying to kill koalas and other wildlife?

Thank you to everyone for assisting these two beautiful koalas and saving them from possible injuries or even death

Today brings difficult news for everyone who cares about Australia's birds.

The Federal Government has now confirmed that the Brown Skua found in southwest Western Australia, which was previously suspected of having H5 bird flu, has tested positive for the virus. This marks the first confirmed detection of this devastating strain on mainland Australia.

Around the world, H5 bird flu has caused catastrophic losses, killing millions of wild birds and pushing already vulnerable species closer to extinction.

For Australia's birds, the stakes could not be higher.

One in six Australian bird species is already threatened with extinction, with many populations already under pressure from habitat loss, climate change and other human impacts. The arrival of H5 bird flu presents a serious new challenge.

BirdLife Australia is closely monitoring this developing situation and will continue advocating for strong monitoring, preparedness and coordinated action to help protect our birds.

We need your help more than ever so that we can continue to do our work to protect Australia's birds. Your donation means more now than ever.

Keeping a rescue vehicle on the road isn’t cheap. Between wildlife checks and urgent callouts, Ricardo’s also doing Uber Eats
around Campbelltown to cover fuel costs.

So if you order dinner locally and a koala-loving driver turns up… that’s probably me 😄 Every delivery helps keep the rescue vehicle running for the next animal in need.

This is what happens at night when we are in our homes getting ready for bed .

Koalas and other native wildlife are trying to navigate through the suburb try to get from A to B because of habitat destruction and broken wildlife corridor’s.

Broken wildlife corridor’s put our native wildlife in danger of dog attacks and vehicle strikes.

So if you’re driving around from dusk till dawn drive carefully and watch out for our beautiful wildlife.

If you hear your dogs constantly barking check your yard as our native wildlife might have entered your yard.
