Last Sunday, 21st September, we held our mental health workshop in support of R U OKAY? Day
The workshop was facilitated by Morteza Ebrahimi from STEPS Counselling, whose thoughtful approach and techniques helped us open up and reflect.
We also heard powerful insights from Kamal Pasha, a mental health and NDIS professional, who shared his knowledge and experience with us.
A heartfelt thank you to Aunty Mal Fruean the centre management for providing us the space at Minto Community Hall, without your support, this event wouldn’t have been possible.
Thank you Tam Rahman from Digi Tech for attending and participating in the workshop.
Thank you Farjana Tarek from Rise On for showing up and supporting us.
Thank you P Herath Abayakoon from Speak Your Truth for being part of the conversation and contributing so meaningfully.
Thank you Shalhla Love Rose from Himyana Social Services for attending and bringing your team to stand with us.
Thank you Neely Najo Jan for always being there, your support means a lot.
Thank you Md Shafiqul Alam for making time to attend despite your busy schedule. Your presence shows true leadership and reliability, we know we can count on you.
Thank tou Zuie Sen for attending and always supporting us
And thank you to everyone else who came along, participated, and supported us. We appreciate each and every one of you.
Mental health matters. It’s not always visible when someone is struggling, and that’s why kindness is so important. May we learn to be more compassionate, less judgmental, and better listeners. May we continue to show up for one another, especially during the hard times.
